Hi-

IAUA still looking for a solution for payment processing. I see that Paypal and authorize.net are listed in drop down menu…

any reason Square/squareup are not listed?

just wondering

Hey Pierre,

Adding a new payment processing system ends up being 10+ hours of development work. We are working on our own internal way of processing payments and trying to use the fact that we have 100+ organizations processing payments to leverage a much better processing rate than SQUARE or Paypal can offer (somewhere between 1.5% - 2% from our initial research) where SQUARE and Paypal start at 2.9% + $.30 on every transaction. So, if you can get Paypal to resolve your account issues for now, we are aiming to launch our own processing system before summer.

Thanks for the question!
Mike

Excellent answer, we look forward to the topscore credit card processor when it arrives.

We will stumble around and make things work until then

Just to clarify -- we won't be doing the processing directly. But we've found a provider that can give us a great rate, much better than what most, if not all, organizations are paying currently. We just need to do the technical work!

Just wanted to share that I got a quote from Wells Fargo that they would be able to do 2% with no other fee per a transaction and that was just for my small league. Bigger organizations or even top score guys might want to look into them. I also work for them on the retail level and can give contact information if needed

We've got quite a good rate from WorldPay but are trying to get Stripe to match it since their APIs are better. Credit processing fees are tumbling and are going to continue to fall over the coming years as there's a lot more competition and a lot of people trying to bring down these absurd costs.

ok, so its getting closer to summer, and we are working on our summer league registration...

when you referred below to "before summer" for a payment processing system, did you mean closer to now, or closer to June? we are happy with either answer, but would love an update.

thanks

We are in testing now with Sandblast and few other organizations. We want to give the system more polish before announcing / releasing publicly, but if IAUA or another organization really wanted to switch now, it could happen. Send me an email off list if you want to.
