Mi estas kandidato por prezidanto de Esperanto-USA. La elektado de la estraranoj cxi jare estas tre grava. Mi urgxe rekomendas ke vi vocxdonu cxi jare. Se vi ne estas aktuala membro de Esperanto-USA, bonvolu membrigxi tuj kaj petu balotilon de la Centra Oficejo. Vi rajtas vocxdoni gxis la limdato dum la Landa Kongreso (11-14 de julio, 2014). Sed, se vi ne iros al la kongreso, bonvolu sendi la balotilon al la Centra Oficejo gxis la 4a de julio. La vocxdonado kaj via partopreno estas tre gravaj. Dankon.
Mi agas kaj parolas honeste, kaj komunikas kun la estraro, kun estroj de la komitatoj, kun la direktoro de la centra oficejo, kaj kun lokaj grupoj. Mi cxiam uzas la monon de Esperanto-USA efike kaj honeste.
Dum la antauxaj jaroj kiam mi estis via prezidanto, mi elspezis monon de Esperanto-USA nur kun aprobo. Mi subskribis kontraktojn post ol unue komuniki cxion kun la estraro kaj havi aprobon. Vi havos fidon, ke ni progresos kun informoj, raportoj, komunikadoj, ktp. La informoj haveblos en niaj cxefaj komunikiloj, Usona Esperantisto, www.esperanto-usa.org, kaj nia pago en Facebook.
Jen estas kelkaj ideoj, kiujn mi rekomendos:
1. Krei pli bonan sistemon de komunikado kun la lokaj grupoj.
a. Gxustigi la kontakt-informon de la lokaj grupoj. (en la retejo kaj la UE bulteno)
b. Kontakti la lokajn grupojn pri ties stato, planoj, progreso, kaj problemoj.
c. Trovi reprezanton por cxiu regiono de Usonoj, por efike komuniki kun la grupoj.
2. Fortigi kaj uzi la por-komunikadan strukturon en Esperanto-USA, inter la membroj, kaj inter la lokaj grupoj.
3. Krei pli bonan rilaton kun AAIE, kaj subteni la instruadon en publikaj, privataj, kaj enhejmaj lernejoj.
4. Sekvi la planojn de AMO-1, AMO-2, laux nia kapablo por la landa movado kaj monda movado.
a. AMO-2 estas la Seminario de Aktivula Maturigo de UEA (la Universala Esperanto Asocio)
b. AMO-2 okazos en Kanado, post NASK kaj antaux la landa kongreso.
c. Mark Fettes, Humphrey Tonkin, Grant Goodall kaj aliaj spertuloj gvidos la seminarion.
5. Raporti pli ofte en nia organo, Usona Esperantisto (UE), pri la estraro kaj pri lokaj grupoj.
6. Raporti per la mezurablaj kvantoj nian progreson en Usono, inklusive:
a. Kiom da membroj en Esperanto-USA
b. Kiom da petoj por informo venas al la Centra Oficejo (CO) de Esperanto-USA.
c. Kiom da UEA membroj kaj delegitoj de Usono.
7. Krei kaj subteni fakajn organizetojn kaj strukturojn en Usono:. Eblaj fakaj organizoj estas:
a. Sxakludo
b. Goo
c. La Sumoo de Hori Jasuo
d. Mensa
e. Skoltoj
f. Blinduloj kaj aliaj handikapuloj
g. ILERI (radiaj amatoroj).
h. Indigxenaj popoloj
i. Religiaj grupoj (KELI / kristanoj, Baha’I, ktp).
j. La sciencoj
8. Raporti en UE kaj en lokaj grupoj pri la progreso, agadoj, kaj planoj de la fakaj organizoj.
9. Kunlabori kaj interkomuniki kun organizoj en Usono kaj en aliaj landoj. Cxi tiuj estas kaj Esperantistaj kaj ne-Esperantistaj organizoj, kiel:
a. Esperantic Studies Foundation
b. La Amerika Komisiono de UEA
c. TAKE
d. UNESCO
e. La oficejo de UEA cxe la Unuigxintaj Nacioj cxe 777 UN Plaza, NY
f. Diversaj aliaj organizoj pri paco, instruado de lingvoj, kaj internaciaj rilatoj.
10. Disvastigi la informon de UEA al niaj lokaj grupoj kaj per UE.
11. Krei pli fortan organizon de USEJ por la junuloj.
a. Havi junulon por gvidi USEJ-n. (trovi volontulon)
b. Esplori la retpagxojn de USEJ kaj TEJO, por lerni kio estas tie, kaj la stato de la retejoj.
c. Lerni kaj rapori pri la pasintaj kaj venontaj eventoj por junuloj, kiel IJK.
d. Kunlabori kun USEJ por krei informplenajn anoncojn por UE kaj aliaj informiloj.
e. Komuniki kun AAIE/AATE por eltrovi tiujn, kiuj instruas junulojn kaj infanojn, kaj konekti kun la studantoj post la kursoj kaj post la ekzamenoj.
f. Komuniki kun lokaj grupoj per iliaj reprezentantoj por doni informon pri la agadoj por junuloj, USEJ, TEJO, IJK, ktp. Eltrovi kiujn grupojn havas aktivajn junulojn.
g. Kunlabori kun LKK kaj DKK (la komitatoj, kiuj prizorgas la landajn kongresojn) pri planoj por la landaj kongresoj, por plani eventojn por la junuloj, kaj anonci la planojn al la lokaj grupoj kaj per la informiloj.
h. Diskuti la agadojn de junuloj en AMO-2 (UEA- seminario por Aktivula Maturigo). Akiri kontaktinformon de tiuj (nacie kaj internacie) kiuj volas helpi kaj kunlabori pri USEJ.
i. Raporti en niaj informiloj pri la agadoj de junuloj en aliaj landoj.
j. Raporti en niaj informiloj pri la agadoj de la junuloj en Usono, per la helpo de lokaj grupoj kaj la reprezentantoj de regionoj.

Dear members of the Esperanto community,
I am a candidate for president of Esperanto-USA. The election of the board this year is extremely important. I urge you to vote this year. If you are not a current member of Esperanto-USA, please join immediately and request a ballot from the Central Office. You can vote until the deadline during the national congress (landa kongreso, July 11-14, 2014). But, if you are not going to the congress, please send the ballot immediately to the Central Office by July 4. The voting and your participation are extremely important. Thank you.
I act and speak honestly, and communicate with the board, the committee leaders, the director of the Central Office, and with local groups. I always use the money of Esperanto-USA effectively and honestly.
During my previous years as your president, I spent money of Esperanto-USA only with approval. I signed contracts only after communicating with the board and having approval. You will have faith that we will progress with open information and raports. The information will be available in our primary communications channels, Usona Esperantisto, www.esperanto-usa.org, and on our page in Facebook.
Here are some ideas that I recommend:
1. Create a better communications infrastructure with the local groups.
a. Correct the contact information of the local groups (in the webpage and in the UE newsletter).
b. Contact the local groups about their status, plans, progress, and problems.
c. Find a representative for each region of the USA to effectively communicate with the local groups.
2. Strengthen and use the communication infrastructure in Esperanto-USA, among the members, and among the local groups.
3. Create a better relationship with AAIE (American Association of Teachers of Esperanto), and support the teaching in public, private, and home schools.
4. Follow the plans of AMO-1 and AMO-2, according to our capability for the national and international Esperanto movements.
a. AMO-2 is the “Seminario de Aktivula Maturigo” of UEA (the Universala Esperanto Asocio).
b. AMO-2 will be in Canada, after NASK and before the Landa Kongreso.
c. Mark Fettes, Humphrey Tonkin, Grant Goodall and other experts will lead the seminar.
5. Report more often in our communications organ, Usona Esperantisto (UE), about the board and about local groups.
6. Report our progress using the measurable quantifiers, including:
a. Number of members in Esperanto-USA
b. Number of requests for information coming to the Central Office (CO) of Esperanto-USA.
c. Number of UEA members and delegates from the USA.
7. Create and support Special Interest Groups and structures in the USA. Possible groups are:
a. Chess
b. Go
c. Sumo (the reading projects of Hori Jasuo)
d. Mensa
e. Scouts
f. Blind and other handicapped
g. ILERI (ham radio operators)
h. Indigenous peoples (“native Americans”)
i. Religious groups (KELI / Christian, Baha’I, etc)
j. The Sciences
8. Report in UE and in local groups about the progress, activities and plans of the special interest groups.
9. Work with and communicate with organizations in the USA and other lands. These are both Esperanto and non-Esperanto organizations, such as:
a. Esperantic Studies Foundation
b. The American Commission of UEA
c. T.A.K.E. (Tut-Amerika Kongreso de Esperanto)
d. UNESCO
e. The office of UEA at the United Nations at 777 UN Plaza, NY
10. Distribute the information of UEA to our local groups and in UE.
11. Create a stronger organization of USEJ por the youth.
a. Have a youth volunteer to lead USEJ.
b. Explore the webpages of USEJ and TEJO, to find out what is there, and what is the status of the websites.
c. Learn and report about the past and future events for youth, like IJK (the international youth congress)
d. Work with USEJ to create a announcements that are rich in information for UE and other communication tools.
e. Communicate with AAIE/AATE to find out who is teaching youth and children, and connect with the students after the courses and after the exams.
f. Communicate with local groups through the resentatives to give information about the activities for youth, USEJ, TEJO, IJK, etc. Find the local groups that have active youth.
g. Work with the LKK and DKK (committees which plan the congresses, LK) about planning events for youth, and announce the plans to local groups and in our communication channels.
h. Discuss the activities of the youth in AMO-2. Get contact information (national and international) of those who want to help with the youth and USEJ.
i. Report in our communication channels about the activities of youth in other countries.
j. Report in our communication channels about the activities of youth in the USA, with the help of local groups and the regional representatives.
