Jxenja Amis de Kanado, kune kun multaj grupoj en Kanado kaj Usono, nun forte laboras pri la Universala Kongreso de UEA por 2017. Kune ni proponas ke Montrealo estu la situo por tiu grandega evento. Gxi estos la unua UK en Norda Ameriko jam longtempe. Orlanda Raola, la nuna prezidanto de Esperanto-USA, komunikis pri cxi tio, kaj vojagxis al Montrealo por diskuti la planojn.
Venont-pasxe, la gvidantoj de UEA decidos cxu akcepti Montrealon kiel la elektitan lokon por la UK 2017. Esperantistoj en Usono kaj Kanado aktive antauxenigas la procezon por atingi jesan rezulton. Jxenja petas lokajn grupojn deklare subteni la planon per kunlaboro kun aliaj lokaj grupoj en Kanada kaj Usono.
Se via loka grupo gxis nun ne faris, bonvolu konsideri verki kaj subskribi subtenan dokumenton. La retpagxaro cxe www.grupoj.org enhavas ekzemplerajn dokumentojn. Hello, Esperanto speaking friends in the U.S.A.!
How are you? How fares the Esperanto group in your city?
Jxenja Amis of Canada, along with many Esperanto groups in Canada and the U.S.A. is now working hard on the International Conference / Congress of Esperanto of 2017 (Universala Kongreso de UEA, UK 2017). Together we have proposed that Montreal be the selected site for that major event. It will be the first time in a very long time for a UK in North America. Orlanda Raola, the current president of Esperanto-USA, has communicated much about this and has made trips to Montreal to discuss the plans.
The next big step will be for the leaders of UEA (The Universal/World Esperanto Association) to decide on whether to accept Montreal as the selected site for the UK in 2017. Esperantist speakers in the USA and Canada are very pro-active in helping this process reach a positive decision. Jxenja is asking local Esperanto groups in the USA to submit a declaration to support the plan for a UK in Montreal with the joint cooperation of local groups from Canada and the United States.
If your local Esperanto group has not done so, please consider writing and signing a support document. There are some sample documents online at www.grupoj.org. You may take these documents, edit them as to your liking, use your club name, and sign with as many club members as you can. Even one signature is significant but more will help. We need responses from as many local groups as can act on this immediately.
We need for documents to be sent to Montreal by the middle of February (in approximately two weeks). If you wish to mail, please contact Jxenja directly for a postal address:
