USEJ at the LK?

My girlfriend and I are attending the Landa Kongreso this June, so I
was wondering about a few things and didn't know where to send them

First, lodging arrangements. If there are going to be other people
there who are college-aged or just about, would you mind rooming with
us? The two of us together take up the size of a twin bed, we're
willing to sleep on the floor if need be, we already take showers at
odd hours, and I hope we won't be spending very much time in the room
anyway. =) Otherwise, mia koramikino's* relatives in San Jose have
offered to house us, but based on my experience last year I'd much
rather be in the hotel than in a neighboring city.

Right now I have us down as attending the banquet because I remember
that there was some discussion last year about having our own meal-
type thing. However, if this is not the case, I want to go and pay for
the banquet now so that we're not driving Jed and everyone else crazy
again.

Finally, I remember that there was some discussion last year about
getting to the congress site early and just sort of hanging out (and
maybe doing some Esperanto stuff, if everyone else is as gung ho about
it as I am) for a couple days. If so, I want to make sure we have each
others' contact info. I know that the two of us most certainly
wouldn't mind being in San Francisco for a few extra days.

Anyway, please let me know your plans! It might be still a little
early for some people but, well, I'm really excited.

( * Esperantlish should defiinitely be a thing. I know I say 'kaj'
instead of 'and' sometimes, and adding 'eg' to the middle of 'Huzzah!'
works very well.)

Hey Nick and others,
I live in Berkeley right now so ill definitely be there, and would be interested in doing something before the lk, whether in San Francisco o farther afield like camping near some hot springs.
I don't think ill go to the banquet, so if people want to do an alternative thing that night that would be fine with me.
Also if there are some people who would rather stay at a house in Berkeley than in the hotel let me know...

Povas esti antaú aú post la kongreso - kiel ekzemple kampado - aú povas esti io simpla dum la kongreso, ekzemple plani nokton de vespermanĝo kaj dancado.

Proksime al S.F. estas multaj bonaj kampadejoj. Kelkaj estas ĉe la oceano, dum aliaj havas varmajn akvofontojn. La plejmulto havas loĝejojn, do ne necesus tendojn (kvankam ili ankaú eblas).

Ankaú, vi verŝajne jam scias, ke S.F. havas multajn bonajn restoraciajn - italajn, ĉinajn, japanajn, meksikajn, "kaliforniajn" - kaj malmankas diskejoj, ĉu bluzaj, ĵazaj, aú elektronikaj...

Cetere, ĉu ni kalkulu kiom da junuloj planas ĉeesti la kongreson?

Se ja estas intereso, mi proponas Skajpumadon. Bv. respondi kun tempojn, kiam vi povus babili Skajp-e, se vi interesiĝas.

Dear samideanoj,

I know that the EUSA convention is happening soon! However, I think that we still have time to plan something, if there's interest.

We could do something before or after the convention - camping, for example - or we could do something more simple during the convention, such as planning one night to go out for dinner and dancing.

Near to San Francisco there are lots of great campsites. Some are at the ocean, and other have hot springs. Most of them have cabins, so tents wouldn't be a necessity (though they'd be possible too).

Also, you probably already know, that San Francisco has tons of great restaurants - Italian, Chinese, Japanese, Mexican, "Californian" - and there is no lack of clubs, whether blues, jazz, or electronic...

By the way, should we figure out how many youth plan to be at the convention?

If there is interest, I propose doing another Skype chat. Please respond with a time that you could chat, if you are interested.

PPS - I apologize for trying to organize this at the last minute. I live in Berkeley, but I thought until recently that I'd be travelling during the convention. My plans changed, so I definitely will be at the Convention.
