Just a heads up to make sure all of you gardeners know that the first
Buy Fresh Buy Local Hampton Roads Food Guide will be out this coming
week. The "launch" of the Guide will take place on Saturday, Oct. 3
at the Virginia Beach Farmers Market.

Most of our dedicated gardeners, new gardeners and just fresh veggie
lovers are also wonderful supporters of our local farms, ranchers
(yes, we have them!) and fishermen. The BFBLHR Food Guide will be the
go-to resource to find fresh, locally produced food (and the
restaurants that serve it!).

If you use Facebook, you can find the Buy Fresh Buy Local Hampton
Roads Facebook page and Facebook group by searching the title in their
search box. If you become a "fan" of the page or join the group, you
will automatically get updates on events and special news. There will
also be a list (soon) of locations throughout Hampton Roads and the
Eastern Shore where you can get copies of the Fall/Holiday 2009 Food
Guide.
