First off, Happy Thursday. I'm sure your classes are picking up now and everyone is getting used to the academic grind. Before you read this email, if you know any friends who are interested in MUN, feel free to forward this to them or have them join our google group:

Just a reminder, our first training of the semester is TOMORROW, Friday, 2:30pm in the Map Room. Please come with knowledge of your country assignment, or Libya if you don't have one. This is a great training for you, all of the officers will be there to help with any questions you have!
Also, I will be updating our google group to include a calendar of events and resources for you in your research. Attached is a sample position paper, and below are some helpful links. Your VP and Membership Delegate are working on compiling some great sources for you and we will get that to you soon. For now:
With upcoming conferences facing us (Oct 15 for Irvine, OCMUN), we are here to help you prepare.
If you do not have a country assignment, I had 14 people down who needed one and I gave those numbers to Dr. M, so if you still want one, please email her at
marymm...@cox.net as soon as possible.
Attached are the points and motions that if you are in the class, you were lucky to have brave classmates give you a good introduction! Points and motions are a crucial part of MUN, so please review them. Another thing I know people find helpful is this video:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aBh_RaX0gvs. Practice the points and motions so you are comfortable with them.
The only correction I have for the video, which Brianna caught, is that you MOVE, never MOTION. ie/ "Argentina moves to recess"

For now, thats all. If you have any questions, don't hesitate to ask. Finally, if you have not joined our organization on collegiate link
http://sandiego.collegiatelink.net/, please do so ASAP. Other than that, I'm not asking for anything else from our lovely delegates except some more facebook activity. haha.
