| 南加大一年制MBA課程 (IBEAR MBA) 代表10月來台, 舉辦一場課程與入學事務說明活動, 敬邀具近六年資歷 (包含研究所與兵役) 或打算累積多些社會經驗後再出國進修 MBA 的朋友們參加. 此外, IBEAR代表也將安排時間與有興趣提出申請者進行面試 (可在提出申請前先完成). 歡迎把握機會. | [IBEAR MBA] 適合具六年或以上工作經驗者申請. "Taiwan‧USC Fellowship" (for Ph.D. new students) "台灣‧南加大獎學金" (博士新生) * 教育部獎學金項目: 教育部與8所世界百大設置合作獎學金 * 美國南加州大學於2011年與教育部共同設立 [台灣‧南加大博士生獎學金] (Taiwan‧USC Fellowship)，並於2012學年起施行。目前邁入第二個五年合作。此一計畫每年提供包含學費、食宿等在內的全額獎學金予多位優秀的台灣博士班新生。敬邀計畫於2017年赴美深造各類博士課程的台灣申請人踴躍提出申請。 有意申請者必須於期限內分別向南加大提出入學申請，及向教育部申請此一特定獎學金。請留意下方訊息與各截止期限。

USC ranked No. 15 nationally in new, comprehensive Wall Street Journal survey 南加大最新全美排名: 15 
| USC ranks No. 15 nationally in the inaugural Wall Street Journal/Times Higher Education survey of more than 1,000 U.S. colleges and universities released this week. Other than USC, Caltech and Stanford University, no other California institution ranks among the top 25. Of 150 universities surveyed in the western U.S., USC | ranks No. 3. The new ranking uses a set of comprehensive metrics to determine whether a college offers students sufficient resources to succeed, whether students feel challenged and engaged, whether the student body is diverse and international, and whether graduates succeed by paying off their loans and are able to find satisfying, high paying jobs. USC ranked #60 worldwide by TIMES 南加大獲評全球第60 (泰晤士報高等教育特刊) USC gets $21.7 million grant to study epilepsy 南加大獲國家衛生研究院2170萬美金經費, 進行癲癇之研究 
| The USC Laboratory of Neuro Imaging of the USC Mark and Mary Stevens Neuroimaging and Informatics Institute has received a $21.7 million National Institutes of Health grant to study epilepsy, a condition that is currently incurable. Epilepsy causes seizures in the brain due to a disruption of electrical communication between neurons. At least 5.1 million people in the United | States have been diagnosed with epilepsy or a seizure disorder, according to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. The grant will support a project titled the Epilepsy Bioinformatics Study for Antiepileptogenic Therapy and a team of international researchers working toward both a cure for epilepsy and treatments to prevent it from developing. Researchers will identify biomarkers associated with the development of epilepsy and possibly discover therapies to prevent epilepsy from starting after a traumatic brain injury. Arthur Toga, Provost Professor of ophthalmology at the Keck School of Medicine of USC and director of the USC Mark and Mary Stevens Neuroimaging and Informatics Institute, is the study’s principal investigator. Marc and Lynne Benioff’s $20 million gift to USC supports research and treatment innovations to fight cancer 南加大獲 2千萬美金捐款挹注癌症研究與治療 
| USC Trustee Marc Benioff ’86 and his wife, Lynne, have given $20 million toward construction of the Lawrence J. Ellison Institute for Transformative Medicine of USC, a new center in Los Angeles that will combine interdisciplinary research with the holistic prevention and treatment of cancer. In recognition of the gift, the lobby of the Ellison Institute will be named in honor of Marc Benioff’s late father, Russell Benioff. | A pioneer of cloud computing and chairman and CEO of Salesforce, Marc Benioff has served as a member of the USC Board of Trustees since 2010. Widely recognized for his visionary leadership, he is noted for integrating philanthropy into the core of business with the creation of the 1-1-1 model of philanthropy, donating 1 percent of Salesforce’s equity, employee time and product to nonprofits and educational institutions to improve communities around the world. Who are USC’s freshmen? The highest achieving and among the most diverse ever enrolled 南加大這一屆的大一新生, 再度創下最多元與優異表現的紀錄 
| USC’s freshman class is the highest-achieving class it has ever enrolled — and one of the largest and most ethnically diverse in the institution’s history. This fall, USC welcomed 3,068 freshmen to the Trojan Family — the fifth-largest freshman class in USC’s 136-year history, according to new statistics released by the USC Office of Admission. Only 16.6 percent (9,023) of the 54,282 applicants | were offered admission, making this the institution’s most selective year on record. The freshmen enrolled this fall are the highest achieving class admitted in USC history. Their average, unweighted GPA is 3.75 on a 4.0 scale, and 4.07 if weighted. Twenty percent had earned straight As in high school. Another 7 percent earned only one B in high school. They came from more than 1,600 high schools in 49 states and 56 countries. Read More. |
