| Longtime USC benefactors Mark and Mary Stevens have donated $50 million to endow and name the USC Mark and Mary Stevens Neuroimaging and Informatics Institute, accelerating the institute’s already dramatic progress toward solving one of biology’s most complex and important puzzles: the brain. The visionary gift promises to improve the lives of millions of people worldwide by speeding the translation of basic research into new therapies, preventions and cures for brain injury and disease, including | Alzheimer’s, schizophrenia and traumatic brain injury. The institute unites scientists from around the world to understand the brain at an unprecedented level, examining its structure and function in health and disease. Among many seminal achievements, the institute’s interdisciplinary pioneers were among the first to map the spread of Alzheimer’s disease in the living human brain and to create digital 3- and 4-D brain atlases to examine the effects of neurological diseases. (b) $15 million gift underscores USC Village progress 南加大大學村 (USC Village) 獲匿名捐贈1500萬美金興建學生宿舍一棟 
| Three of nine residential colleges are now endowed at the $650 million project — a testament to the vibrancy of USC’s intellectual community C Village is starting to take shape, and so is the giving that supports it. An anonymous donor has given $15 million to endow one of USC Village‘s residential colleges, bringing the number of endowed residential colleges at the complex to three. | Two previous gifts named McCarthy Honors College and the Ray Irani Residential College. In all, nine residential colleges will be created as part of the $650 million USC Village project. The residential-retail center, which will house up to 2,700 students on the north side of the University Park Campus, is the most expansive development project in the history of south Los Angeles. USC Village signals our commitment to bolstering the overall student experience, and to becoming a fully residential university. Construction ramps up The latest gift comes as construction ramps up on the 15-acre USC Village site bounded by Jefferson Boulevard, McClintock Avenue and Hoover and 30th streets. | UT Dallas business rankings validate the school's headway, dean says The USC Marshall School of Business ranked No. 7 worldwide in Top 100 Business School Research Rankings for 2015, released by the Naveen Jindal School of Management at The University of Texas at Dallas. “Seven years ago, we shared our vision to be considered among the best research business schools, and we began a hiring initiative to | augment our already productive research faculty,” said USC Marshall Dean James G. Ellis. “The UT Dallas rankings is one validation that we are making great headway, and I could not be more proud.” The rankings are compiled from a database of faculty research published in 24 leading peer-reviewed journals from 2010 to 2014. In 2005, USC Marshall was ranked No 14. In 2014, it entered the top 10. “Our faculty have been consistently productive, and their contributions to business knowledge have a major impact on the future of the field,” said Gareth James, vice dean for faculty and academic affairs, holder of the E.
