６月１９日（日）、大阪府内でアメリカ４年制大学の説明会を開きます。事前の参加お申込みが必要となります。 USCANJ is coming to Osaka on Sunday, June 19, 2011. Pre-registration required.

U.S. College Information Session in Osaka 2011
アメリカの４年制大学（学部）への日本からの受験・進学について、下記米国大学にて実際に大学生活を経験した卒業生たちが体験談を交えながら、大阪府立和泉高等学校を会場に、日本語にて説明会を行います。世界に活動・活躍の舞台を広げようと考えている日本の中高生、保護者、教職員の方々に、日本国内大学への進学という選択肢に加え、アメリカの４年制大学への学部進学という選択肢を紹介することが目的です。
●当説明会参加確定卒業生の学部出身大学名：
①ブリンモア大学 ②コーネル大学 ③ハーバード大学 （２０１１年４月１日現在、追加参加大学の調整中）
●当説明会企画・主催者：
・主催者：U.S. College Alumni Network of Japan（USCANJ、http://www.uscanj.net）及び各参加各大学の現役学部生・卒業生
USCANJ（アメリカ学部卒業生ネットワーク）とは、米国大学の現役学部生・日本在住卒業生有志による非営利ボランティアネットワークです。昨年８月の東京での米国大学説明会・カレッジフェア開催に合わせて発足しました。
・参加対象：主として、中学生、高校生、保護者、教員、進路指導カウンセラー。その他、小学生や短期留学にご関心のある大学生の方にもご参加頂けます。
・日時：２０１１年６月１９日（日）１３：００～１６：００
・会場：大阪府立和泉高等学校 視聴覚室

U.S. College Information Session in Osaka 2011
Sunday, June 19 1-4 pm
Organized by U.S. College Alumni Network in Japan (USCANJ)
With support from alumni clubs of U.S. colleges and universities in Japan, alumni volunteers will be organizing an intercollegiate information session on U.S. undergraduate programs on June 19, 2011 in Osaka, with the goal of disseminating accurate and up-to-date information on U.S. colleges and the U.S. college application process to motivated and internationally-minded students at primarily Japanese-speaking junior high and high schools, their families, and Japanese junior high and high school instructors. The session will be conducted mainly in Japanese, but students at international schools and their parents are also very welcome to attend.
The organizers' hope is to provide junior high and high school students in Japan with a chance to learn and think further about the various educational opportunities that are available to them in both Japan and the U.S. We would also like to address any concerns the students' parents and school instructors may have. Also, we would like to express our special thanks to Izumi High School for hosting our event.

ADMISSION: Free. This event is mainly geared toward students in Grades 7-12, their families, teachers, and guidance counselors, but others are also welcome.
