日本在住卒業生有志による米国大学学部進学説明会 (京都・宇治)
U.S. College Information Session in UJI 2012
アメリカの4年制大学（学部）への日本からの受験・進学について、下記米国大学にて実際に学部生活を経験した卒業生たちが体験談を交えながら、日本語にて説明会を行います。世界に活動・活躍の舞台を広げようと考えている日本の中高生、保護者、教職員の方々に、日本国内大学への進学という選択肢に加え、アメリカの４年制大学への学部進学という選択肢を紹介することが目的です。
●当説明会参加確定卒業生の在籍中・出身大学名
（2012年6月8日現在、追加参加大学の調整中）：
①ブリンマー大学 (Bryn Mawr College)
②カリフォルニア大学バークレー校 (University of California, Berkley / CAL)
③プリンストン大学 (Princeton University)
●当日プログラム（予定）：

14:00 - 15:15 全体説明
（米国式リベラルアーツ教育の意義、学費・奨学金制度、卒業後の進路）
15:15 - 15:45 日本人・日本在住卒業生による体験談 （大学生活・卒業後の進路）
16:00 - 16:30 受験プロセス説明
（選考基準、願書、小論文、推薦状、SAT、日米大学同時受験）
16:30 - 17:00 質疑応答

US College Info Session on in UJI, KYOTO Saturday, June 16th 2012
Organized by U.S. College Alumni Network in Japan (USCANJ)
Co-Organized by Ritsumeikan Uji Junior and Senior High School

With support from alumni clubs of U.S. colleges and universities in
Japan, alumni volunteers will be organizing an intercollegiate
information session on U.S. undergraduate programs on June 16th, 2012
from 14:00-17:00pm at Ritsumeikan Uji Junior and Senior High School.
In this global society, we believe we need more young people who can
understand and appreciate diversity. In this session, we hope to
disseminate accurate and up-to-date information on U.S. colleges and
the U.S. college application process to motivated and
internationally-minded students at primarily Japanese-speaking junior
high and high schools, their families, and Japanese junior high and
high school instructors. We believe that studying abroad would not
only have broadened our horizons, but also made us better.
The session will be conducted mainly in Japanese, but students at
international schools, parents and faculty are also very welcome to
attend.
The organizers’ hope is to provide junior high and high school
students in Japan with a chance to learn and think further about the
various educational opportunities that are available to them in both
Japan and the U.S. We would also like to address any concerns the
students’ parents and school instructors may have. Also, we would
like to express our special thanks to Ritsumeikan Uji Junior and
Senior High School for hosting our event.
