Hi everyone,

Hope you did well on the last exam. Time to get ready for the next!

I’ve added a question on muscles:

Which one of the following statements about smooth muscles is false?

a. Myosin light chain kinase activates contraction.

b. Smooth muscle cells produce graded contractions in response to graded depolarizations.

c. In multi-unit smooth muscles, adjacent cells are coupled by gap junctions.

d. Receptors for IP3 in the membrane of the sarcoplasmic reticulum are Ca2+ channels.

e. Dense bodies in smooth muscle are functionally equivalent to z-disks in skeletal muscle.

Hi everyone,

The correct answer is c. From the emails I’ve received, I think the most common error was not reading the FALSE. But other than that, great job guys!
