Dear Brother AKAns and Sister Sigmans:

On Dec. 7, 2013 (Saturday), Brod Jesus "Jess" Carabuena (cellphone no. 0949-161-1663) called up

Brod Virgilio Campos, requesting for financial assistance from our fraternity. Brod Jess, who is engaged in the culture of scallops, lives in Botiguez, an islet of Bantayan Island, Cebu. He lost his home and his means of livelihood when Supertyphoon Yolanda badly battered the islet last Nov. 8.

In response to the request of Brod Jess, a dinner meeting of several AKAns was facilitated and hosted by Brod Mariano Ong at the Casino Espanol de Cebu Inc. on Dec. 11 (Wednesday). Present at the meeting were (please see attachment photo) Brods Mariano Ong, Virgilio Campos, Inocentes Pepito Jr., Victor Dumon, Antonio Guzon, Jesus Co and Dennis Pastor. The group agreed to give Brod Jess P3,000.00 from the funds of the fraternity. Individually, Brods Mariano Ong contributed P1,000.00, Antonio Guzon P1,000.00, Virgilio Campos P500.00 and Inocentes Pepito Jr. P500.00. A total of P6,000.00 was raised from said meeting.

Prior to the Dec. 11 dinner meeting, Brod Adrian Sabanpan had already pledged to Brod Jess Co P1,000.00. Yesterday (Dec. 12) Brod Eddie Ladia informed me that he is going to give P3,000.00. Today (Dec. 13) Brod Jess Co sent me a text message that Brod Randy Vasquez is giving P3,000.00 while Brod Ricky Lucero P1,500.00.

For those Brother AKAns and Sister Sigmans who would like to help Brod Jess Carabuena, you may deposit your donation at any Allied Bank (presently merged with PNB). Our fraternity's bank account is with Allied Bank Cebu Fuente Osmena Branch, Saving Account No. 057022364-9 under the names of Jesus Co, Inocentes Pepito Jr. (replacing Edilberto Rivera), and Jaime Rigodon (replacing Alexander Sy).
