The USB-Octomod software works well with Windows XP. It properly
identifies the com port and sends messages to the board. Windows 7 is
another story. As it is it will not identify the com ports, but by
ignoring the serial status it does send messages to the Max test
program.

Well, it turns out that Windows7 wasn't much of a problem after all.
The USB-Octomod software couldn't recognize the com ports because
nothing was connected to them. All I had to do was plug the USB cable
from the board into my computer and everything was properly
identified. Nice work Greg.
