Hey Jan,

No progress on my end (been super busy) on the midi to osc idea, though it wouldn't be difficult to do in PD or Max. After you get the Arduino programmed, you need to run the Processing app here: USB-Octomod-V2

That should do it,

Hey again,

Here's a modified version of the Octomod host software, which allows
MIDI in:

https://docs.google.com/leaf?id=0BwWwzNPdx7WcYTc1N2Y0NzItZTBjMy00YTA4LTg0ODktMGRmYjZjN2E2NjQx&hl=en

That's the source and compiled executables. It's expecting controller
messages 0 - 127, controller numbers 0 - 7 corresponding to channels 1
- 8 on the Octomod.

Please give it a try and let me know if it works for you,

- Greg

Hi,

Teensy arrived today; i got it programmed and now fiddling around with this version ...
( i am using MAC OSX 10.6.5 )

I noticed:
- It takes long time until the main screen turns up.
- Selecting the MIDI Input takes a lot of time.
- it happen sometmes that the application is crashing ( i am trying to get the detailed report why).

Also: The mapping of the Controller Msgs is a bit "unhappy", as controllers 1-13 are widely used
why not using controller 20-28 ?

also i am wondering if we can introduce something like:

- first channel = note messages 1V/Oct
- second channel = gate/trigger voltage
- 3-8 = modulation using controller messages

this would make a use for a modular synth or likewise much easier.

just an idea ...
