Role: Senior Cybersecurity Architect (Cloud & AI Security)

Location: Remote (U.S.) (California, Washington, Illinois, New York, or Minnesota people from these states will not be considered)

Duration: 6+ months

VISA: USC and GC only (no fake GCs) 

 

A leading organization in the healthcare and insurance industry is seeking a Senior Cybersecurity Architect to help design and implement enterprise security strategies focused on Cloud Security, Artificial Intelligence (AI), and emerging technologies. This role will serve as a trusted advisor on cybersecurity best practices while driving secure architecture, governance, and risk management across critical technology initiatives.

The ideal candidate will have strong experience with cloud security, AI security architecture, and enterprise-level security design, along with an active CISSP certification.

 

Must-Have:

• Active CISSP certification (must be current at time of submission - certification # will be required for submission)
• 5+ years of progressive experience in cybersecurity architecture, security engineering, security design, or security monitoring
• Experience designing and implementing security solutions in AWS and/or Azure cloud environments
• Experience with AI Security, AI Security Architecture, or AI-related cybersecurity initiatives
• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Cybersecurity, Computer Science, or equivalent experience
• Strong understanding of enterprise security controls, governance, risk management, and security best practices

 

Preferred Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience designing security architecture for complex enterprise IT projects
• 2+ years of cloud security experience
• Identity and Access Management (IAM) experience supporting workforce and customer identity security
• Experience working in healthcare, insurance, or highly regulated environments
• Experience working in Agile environments

 

 

Key Responsibilities

• Design and implement cybersecurity architectures supporting cloud, AI, and enterprise technology initiatives
• Develop security blueprints, standards, principles, and best practices that align with business objectives
• Evaluate and enhance security controls to protect confidentiality, integrity, and availability of enterprise systems
• Conduct security research and architectural assessments related to AI technologies and integrations
• Participate in governance processes and ensure compliance with enterprise security standards
• Collaborate with project teams to identify security risks and integrate appropriate controls into solution designs
• Perform security monitoring, due diligence activities, and security metrics analysis to measure program effectiveness
• Evaluate new technologies and provide recommendations regarding security architecture, implementation, and risk
• Create and maintain architectural documentation, procedures, and technical standards
• Support project transitions and operational readiness through documentation, training, and knowledge transfer
• Research emerging cybersecurity trends and provide strategic recommendations to improve security posture
