Almost forgot,
student helpers for moving in weekend, and week 0.
for moving in weekend, im confirming ALI, HARRIS, SAQIB.
Alina and Tasha are a maybe..

I need people to act as usas helpers thru the week too.. lemme know
what days in week 0 you all can make.. its preety flexible, as long as
there are 2 usas helpers around in working hours at any time. since
there are around 10 of us, it shouldn't be THAT hard.

oh.. and sunny, around 15 ppl are coming to london heathrow that
saturday. so getting ur car up there might not be feasible. A couple
of us will have to go via public transport, meet em, bring em to uni
via national express.. u up for it? even if u travel from london, i
guess we could get uni to pay for ur transport. would require a BIT of
persuation, but i think the office should go ahead with it.

lemme kno your thoughts ppl.

Hi
we will not have the rikshaw as was planned because union is not
allowing any business at the fresher fair .Besides that some good news
michael said that union might be able to grant us some money for ur
samosa night .We need to decide on a date and time so that i can go and
book the park village lounge accordingly. I was just wondering if we
can do it on thrusday rather then the friday because friday would be
freshers ball .We should have a meeting before the start of the
university year so we can sort out all the events for the term.

1)Lets have a bollywood month where we screen bollywood movies once a
week for the whole month we can maybe book the lancaster house for
that. It can be a mix of old and new movies.

2)We need to find someone who can drive THE USSU mini buses that will
do wonders for ur soceity .Maybe Sunil or shri can take the test

3) Lets do the cricket tournament in the first term rather then waiting
till march this way we will be able to attarct a better crowd and this
time lets do it desi style on the street.

4)We need to find a sponsor ppl

5)we need a proper organisational structure for ur soceitys exec as
well as there are soo many know and shri how long do u plan on staying
for

ppl get back too me as soon as possible for the samosa night so tht i
can book the park village lounge ASAP and the bollywood nights as well
before someone else steals the room
with regards

No business, thats fine.. but won't the rickshaw be just a display
item? Mohd, good news abt the samosa night.. we need to co ordinate
getting samosas, and also shishas. I think sunny's best equipped with
the shisha think, and i actually do like the idea of a shisha sale or
something, so that we can make that money back.
As for the day of the thing, i'd initially recommended tuesday, but
michael said that there's going to be a day long thing on friday, and
we can just be a part of it. So if there are going to be a million
things already on in lib sq, then having it on friday in common room
means more people.
However, if we want it to ourselves, then we shud have it thurs
night..park village. what do u think, people?

bollywood month is a good idea.. we cud even have something like
bollywood saturdays or bollywood wednesdays, and show movies ever
week.. its not like there's a shortage of movies to be shown.. but as a
caution, you do remember how crap public interest in it was last year,
right?

i can try and give the test for the mini bus, since i'm 21 now. i think
that was the minimum required age, lets see.

cricket tournament in first term? well.. weather is going to be BAD.
this is winter.. so desi style is out. besides, we would be shut down
by security anyways, if we played on the streets or something

sponsers is always welcome.. lets all keep out eyes and ears open..

organisation structure. we have a basic structure between the old exec
which i would like to slightly modify. but changes will be made only
until after OUR own first meeting. I still haven't seen all the exec in
one place.. and want to see how good each person is at a particular
thing.
I personally don't know how long i'm in, maybe only till the society's
up and running in first term. However, i think the VP, thats ali, is
going to be a bit more active than the post might demand.

moto: i know HUM KISI SE KUM NAHIN, but, BUT, thats sounds like a
movie, rather than a moto.. lets keep it at 'BREATH OF ASIAN CULTURE'
for now. Main reason? t-shirts have that logo printed on em!!! :p

as a footnote, ideas for future events are BRILLIANT. but, lets go
chronologically.
that means :
1. fresher's fair
2. Shisha and samosa party
3. Meeting with members week 1
4. Hothouse night, week 2

oh, and garba and diwali, as and when they come.
