Experience: 14+ years
We are looking for a highly experienced Mainframe Developer to support, enhance, and modernize enterprise‑level applications running on IBM mainframe systems. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in high‑volume, mission‑critical environments and brings deep expertise in COBOL, JCL, CICS, VSAM, and DB2.
Responsibilities
Develop, enhance, and maintain mainframe applications using COBOL, JCL, CICS, VSAM, and DB2.
Analyze, troubleshoot, and resolve production issues (L2/L3 support).
Optimize batch and online processing for performance and reliability.
Work with cross‑functional teams to support new features, integrations, and modernization efforts.
Participate in code reviews, testing, and documentation.
Support system upgrades, deployments, and release cycles.
Required Skills
10+ years of hands‑on mainframe development experience.
Strong expertise in COBOL, JCL, CICS, VSAM, DB2, and IBM z/OS.
Experience with tools such as FileAid, AbendAid, Changeman, or similar.
Solid understanding of batch processing, transaction processing, and debugging.
Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with mainframe modernization or integration with distributed/cloud systems.
Knowledge of PL/I, REXX, or additional legacy technologies.
