Job Title: Linux Systems Administrator / Engineer

Location: Plano, TX (Onsite)
Employment Type: Contract

 

Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced Linux Systems Administrator / Engineer with strong expertise in Linux system administration, virtualization, container technologies, and infrastructure automation. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience managing enterprise Linux environments, performing system troubleshooting, maintaining patching frameworks, and supporting large-scale infrastructure platforms.

 

Must have 14+ years’ experience

 

Required Skills

·         Strong experience with Linux administration (Ubuntu, RedHat, Solaris)

·         Experience with virtualization technologies (KVM, VMware)

·         Hands-on experience with Docker, LXC, LXD containers

·         Experience working with Kubernetes environments

·         Knowledge of configuration management tools (Ansible, Puppet, Chef)

·         Strong Python and Bash scripting skills

·         Experience with Linux patching and system maintenance frameworks

·         Knowledge of OpenStack platform

·         Experience managing enterprise storage platforms (HP, EMC, NetApp, Dell)

·         Familiarity with PKI and certificate management

 

Preferred Qualifications

·         Experience with Ceph distributed storage

·         Experience with REST API automation and integrations

·         Exposure to large-scale enterprise Linux infrastructure environments

·         Experience supporting production-critical systems
