Prior DOT or Transport experience is required.

Project manager with expertise in ServiceNow Strategic Portfolio Management (SPM) and Microsoft Project

General Statement of Work

The following scope of work applies generally to each project assigned. The consultant(s) is expected to perform these activities across multiple concurrent projects and manage several initiatives simultaneously.

The consultant(s) will be responsible for the following:

• Manage projects using ServiceNow Strategic Portfolio Management (SPM) and Microsoft Project.
• Conduct project initiation activities, including developing, updating, and finalizing project charters; creating initial project plans and schedules; and facilitating project kickoff meetings.
• Facilitate regular project review meetings (weekly or bi‑weekly, depending on project needs) to ensure project schedules, milestones, and role assignments remain accurate and up to date.
• Schedule and facilitate working sessions with project team members to develop, review, and obtain feedback and acceptance on project deliverables.
• Identify, document, and actively manage project risks, issues, and dependencies, and develop mitigation strategies in collaboration with stakeholders.
• Provide timely and accurate project status reporting using Sound Transit and IT PMO–approved templates, including written status reports and verbal updates in project and leadership forums.
• Execute project closeout activities in accordance with IT PMO processes, including facilitating project retrospective meetings and completing all required documentation to capture lessons learned.
• Collaborate with Information Technology staff to prepare and deliver project status presentations for leadership and executive audiences.
