【2010年6月22日，上海】已接待逾百万游客的2010年上海世博会美国馆今天正式推出“网上美国馆”虚拟游览项目。从此，全球观众足不出户即可饱览美国馆的展示内容。 “网上美国馆”网址是：http://pavilion.expo.cn/c5001/ssize/cn/index.html。 美国馆总代表费乐友(José H. Villarreal) 大使表示：“世博会的意义在于为世界各国间缔造一条持久的纽带。2010年上海世博会已将美中两国人民更加紧密地连结在了一起。 ‘网上美国馆’虚拟游的正式启动，更使无法亲临上海世博会的人们也有机会领略美国馆的活力。” 2010上海世博会在迄今158年的世博会历史当中首次引入“网上世博会”的概念，将各个展馆的精华搬上互联网，供全球观众参观欣赏。尽管“网上美国馆”无法完全替代游览实体展馆的体验，却给尚未到中国旅行的异国观众们提供了先睹为快的良机。同时，美国本土的观众也能通过“网上美国馆”了解到美国在世博会上的出色表现。此外，网络游客还可以从“网上美国馆”出发，漫游世博园区内其它国家的虚拟场馆。 “网上美国馆”由美国国务部携手2010年上海世博会美国馆联合制作，逼真地全面展现美国馆实景：进入虚拟美国馆大门，即有一位广受世博游客欢迎的美国学生大使迎上前来热情服务（美国馆共有168名学生大使）。随后，游客便可根据个人喜好选择在美国馆内自由徜徉。 “网上美国馆”虚拟展馆的亮点包括： • 第一幕：美国总统欧巴马与美国国务卿希拉里•克林顿一道欢迎游客到来。
[SHANGHAI, June 22nd, 2010] – The USA Pavilion at Expo 2010 Shanghai today launched a virtual tour at http://pavilion.expo.cn/c5001/ssize/en/index.html which gives a global audience a glimpse of the Pavilion and the exhibits that have already delighted more than a million guests. “World’s Fairs are about creating enduring ties, and Expo 2010 is building a stronger relationship between the United States and China. This virtual tour will enable us to share those positive energies with those who are unable to visit the Pavilion in person,” said U.S. Commissioner General, José H. Villarreal. Expo 2010 Shanghai is the first world’s fair to host an online platform that allows viewers to take a glimpse of all of the pavilions. While not meant to be a substitute for the real experience, the US virtual tour doubles as a preview of what is to come for those traveling to China and a recap of the USA presence for visitors half a world away. Moreover, from the US site, visitors have the opportunity to virtually tour any of the other country pavilions that are available. The virtual tour, a joint project from the USA Pavilion and the US Department of State, closely resembles the actual USA Pavilion. Upon entering the site, visitors are “greeted” by a virtual Student Ambassador, representing the 168 Student Ambassadors who have become a favorite of guests visiting the actual Pavilion. From that point, visitors are free to examine the sights and sounds of the Pavilion on their own. Highlights of the virtual tour: • Act I features an abbreviated greeting from US Secretary of State Hillary Clinton and US President Barack Obama. • In Act II, visitors can test their knowledge of American culture, history and entertainment through a quiz, which may even challenge a few Americans. In addition, Act II features a preview of “The Garden,” the inspirational story shown in the main theater of the Pavilion of an American girl who dreams of turning a vacant city lot into a garden with the help of neighbors. • Act III showcases the many US companies which have sponsored the Pavilion. Through short films, photos and displays, the companies showcase efforts on sustainability, innovation and building a sense of a global community. |

安吉拉•布朗将献唱世博会美国国家馆日庆典 【2010年6月24日，上海】作为其首次在华演出，国际著名女高音歌唱家安吉拉•布朗（Angela M. Brown）将于7月2日在上海世博会美国国家馆日官方仪式上献唱美国国歌。来自美国印第安纳波利斯市的安吉拉•布朗是唯一受邀在美国国家馆献演的美国歌剧演员，继2日的揭幕表演后，安吉拉•布朗还将在3日和4日分别亮相为美国音乐文化和世博会主题而特别奉献的独唱音乐会。

The Indianapolis native will also grace other stages in Shanghai July 3rd and 4th during a series of specially-designed concerts that celebrate American music at the World Expo. Entitled We Are One, Angela Brown has created this special concert program that showcases arias, American opera, and spirituals. 自6月21日我们启动“我眼中的美国精神“——美国馆家馆日百字征文活动以来，Twitter 和新浪微博的网友给予了我们热情的响应，一条条参加征文的微博像雪片一样向我们飞来，有时候甚至都让我们有些应接不暇。在参与征文的微博中，网友们有的表达了对美国精神的推崇，有的提出了尖锐的批评；有些网友尽可能将美国精神写得全面，有些则着重阐述了某一个侧面；有些网友写得很严肃，也有些网友写的幽默甚至谐谑。对于所有参与此次活动的网友，我们都表示欢迎并致以诚挚的谢忱！
按照我们的活动规则，本次“我眼中的美国精神“——美国馆家馆日百字征文活动将于明天结束，获奖结果将在7月1日宣布。活动评审委员会将最终从所有征文中评选出一名大奖得主，奖品为 MOTO 新款手机（XT701）一部；二等奖两名，奖品为美国馆礼包；另外还将评出五名参与奖得主，奖品为美国馆官方T-恤。同时，获奖者还将有机会受邀参加美国国家馆日活动。
