Hope you can help. I have recently purchased Kyocera printer model FS-1120 MFP. Downloaded driver from Kyocera support, however after running installer, upon finish: " The installation failed, the installer could not install the software. The installer could not installer the software because there was not software to be installed"
Every attempt to install Kyocera FS-1120D printer driver in Ubuntu 18-4 has failed.Downloading the driver installation from Kyocera's website and attempting to install using 'kyodialog_5.0-0_i386.deb results in no available printer. Installing it manually in terminal using either aptitude or apt-get install result in missing dependencies and no printer to add.
I have a FS-1120MFP printer and i have installed everything from the install disk on to my windows 10 pc. I am unable to use kyocera client tool which i need to use the ADF scanner as their wia driver are bad and i am unable to use another program to scan mutiple pages Does anyone have any advise or way to contact kyocera EU of this problem
This is a short howto for installing many of the modern GDI-printers from kyocera.Because its not self explaining for many people because of some website issues at the kyocera websites, this should help few people to install those printers. Also the FS-1041 is custom.
I tried to setup my new Kyocera FS-1061DN under Arch. The printer came along with a CD with some Linux "drivers", which I installed according to the instructions on the CD. The "driver" is basically a PPD-File and a filter, "rastertokpsl".
Is it worth trying a driverless printer setup? If it is a new printer many are compatible with driverless printing (the printer itself provides a single ppd file that cups stores at the time of setup).
When a PDF is sent to a Kyocera printer it takes a very long time to begin printing, and pauses between pages, but when I send it to our HP printer, it will print right away. I did some research on the subject and found that it was people recommend using a PS driver for HP products. Since Kyocera doesn't have a PS driver, I used the KPDL driver, which is the same type of driver as the PS.
Use that one. I try to avoid universal drivers when there are system specific drivers available. Some printers only have the UPD, but use the system specific one as a rule, when you can. Can you try that and report back to us?
Google chrome opens PDF documents also; you may try printing in google chrome. I was facing problem even worst. I was not able to print PDF document from Adobe reader as my kyocera printer was not found in printer list in Adobe reader. Now, I started opening PDF document in Google Chrome and then printing from Google Chrome; it is working fantastic...
