I got a 12 yr. old rider wanting to race in Bonanza Creek Classic. I
believe to be classified as a junior he would need to be at least 15
years of age?
We don't have a youth race at Bonanza Creek Classic, but have a
Beginners race that includes women cat 4, men cat 5 and juniors for a
distance of 18.5 miles. Would he be eligible to ride in our Beginners
race?

Mickey,

The definition of a junior is racing age 10-18. The 12 year old would race
as a junior in either the one lap beginner's race or in one of the three lap
races based on his category.

Al,
Is the junior age 10-18 the same for MTB?

Yes.  The age groups for road or dirt are the same, just a different name for 23 - 29.
