Session on Divergences in Political Participation Between Christians and Muslims in Nigeria

The paper presenter argued that Muslims in Nigeria are more active in politics than Christians.
There was a pushback from respondents on defining the lived identity of a Muslim or Christian in terms of belief and life style.
Respondents also probed the possible rarionale for such discrepancies in political participation between the two religions, to which the presenter responded.

Core to those issues were ideas of the relationship between the sacred and the profane.
