Six Observables: First, in recent years, Israel has not gone to war without the support of the US and its allies. Netanyahu knows this, and that is why he is so cocky and eager to confront Iran. He knows he would not stand a chance without the support of the western military and intelligence. He knows it!
Second, the Israeli military can overtly and covertly attack Palestine, Lebanon, Syria, and Iran, and the world – afraid of the US and her allies – will say and do nothing about it. It is one of the reasons why Benjamin Netanyahu can get away with large-scale murders and exterminations.
Third, Ukraine has not suffered a tenth of the indignity, iniquity, and killings at the hands of Russia that Palestinians have suffered at the hands of the Israeli government. Still, you would think that the senseless killings and heart-wrenching destructions in Ukraine are a million times greater than what is going on in Palestine and Lebanon.
Fourth, for 35 years at least, an average of 50 Palestinians have died every month at the hands of the Israeli government. But when the Palestinians protested and demanded their right, many western media, institutions, and governments labeled them terrorists, troublemakers, and agents of destruction.
Fifth, the US government could have brought and can still bring the Palestinian-Israeli conflict to an end. No, oh no! Every American president since Ronald Reagan seems scared…scared of losing votes, scared of scathing media editorials, scared of losing monetary donations, scared of not being invited to Israel, and terrified of being labeled anti-Israel.
Sixth, some African presidents kowtow before US and Western European presidents. They take orders from them, and many even defecate and pee in their pants when they are summoned individually and collectively to Western capitals. Ironically, many western leaders kowtow before Benjamin Netanyahu. They are afraid of him, very afraid of him.

The idea that “Netanyahu and Biden - Harris may have sacrificed the nation state of Israel “ is at the heart of a conspiracy theory that has been gaining traction in some circles, God forbid - the main question being to what extent are Biden-Harris prepared to throw Israel under the bus thereby solving the problem for once and all by ardently working for Israel's replacement , namely Ukraine as the alternative new holy land to which world Jewry should make aliyah should Israel be defeated in the next world war
Possibly mitigating against such a scenario - especially for The United States, the UK, the EU countries (the resurrected old Holy Roman Empire etc) would be the wrong outcome of the upcoming Battle of Armageddon and / or the postponement of Christian eschatology about Jesus coming sooner than later to reign for a thousand years of peace and tranquillity during which reign he will spread the true light to all corners of the world, from Yerushaliyim

Brother Chidi,
In all, there are eighteen observables. I will post the next six next week and the final six the week after. Thanks and have a blessed weekend.

A good beginning 👍
Jews in the Land of Israel -a poem by Yehuda Amichai
Yom Kippur is on the 12th of October.
Will Israel still be at war on that day?
It’s possible that there’s nothing
that the world's only superpower
can’t get away, with but all this
doesn’t sound too reassuring :
https://www.youtube.com/results?search_query=Douglas+Macgregor
Re - my earlier comment : “ The idea that “Netanyahu and Biden - Harris may have sacrificed the nation state of Israel “ is at the heart of a conspiracy theory that has been gaining traction in some circles, God forbid - the main question being to what extent are Biden-Harris prepared to throw Israel under the bus thereby solving the problem for once and all by ardently working for Israel's replacement , namely Ukraine as the alternative new holy land to which world Jewry should make aliyah should Israel be defeated in the next world war “

These wars are not sustainable or meant to last forever, or are they? People are leaving the country. There is an ongoing mass exodus of Israelis, from Israel since October 7.Are the Israeli soldiers not supposed to be war-weary by now and with new adversaries are they not going to be thinly stretched out ?
In my opinion, by not stopping the war Biden-Harris are complicit in literally throwing Israel under the bus. There was the corruption-beleaguered Netanyahu who many Israeli commentators have said does not want to stop the war because the minute the war is over he will be standing trial for the corruption charges that are pending and that by all means, he does not want to face those charges; in fact I thought that whilst he was up there in the air on his way to make his big speech at the UN General Assembly in New York, the ICC would have issued an arrest order for him so that he would be arrested on the spot when he arrived at JFK Airport and then summarily flown to the Hague to face charges of being the commander-in-chief of genocide - the ongoing Arab Holocaust in Gaza, the West Bank and Lebanon, and that he would be tried for that and other crimes against humanity; but instead there he was, sounding more arrogant and more defiant than ever, pontificating at the UN and holding up, not the Torah version of God’s conditions for living in the Promised Land, namely the Blessings and Curses, but his own concoction which regards himself as a fountain of blessings and not a curse. There he stood, holding up a map showing some great countries that according to his own imagination are cursed and those like himself who he believes is “Blessed”. He probably thinks that the God of Israel is looking down upon him with loving approval and blessings for all the things that he has been doing and saying, such as blessing himself and cursing others.
The awesome Hebrew prophecies which do not seem to have accurately forecast the scale of the Holocaust, the the post-Holocaust theology, and the fringe anti-Zionist movements such as Satmar & Neturei Karta notwithstanding, it’s difficult to imagine that there would be any Benjamin Netanyahu or land of Israel that would survive a third world war with Israel as its epicentre - even if they sacrificed to Moloch and nuked every non-Jew in the vicinity. How the chosen few survivors, if any ,would survive and live happily ever after in that neighbourhood is difficult to imagine. I suppose it also demands a lot of bitachon to not question the idea that the Israel that was reconstituted and approved by the League of Nations in 1948 now needs nuclear weapons to stay alive. It’s possible that to atheists, the idea of God having to protect His chosen people with nuclear weapons and ballistic missiles is reprehensible ,but on the other hand that’s what Israel’s first Prime Minister David Ben-Gurion said;
"I don't understand your optimism. Why should the Arabs make peace? If I was an Arab leader I would never make terms with Israel. That is natural: we have taken their country. Sure God promised it to us, but what does that matter to them? Our God is not theirs. We come from Israel, but two thousand years ago, and what is that to them? There has been antisemitism, the Nazis, Hitler, Auschwitz, but was that their fault? They only see one thing: we have come here and stolen their country. Why should they accept that? They may perhaps forget in one or two generations' time, but for the moment there is no chance. So, it's simple: we have to stay strong and maintain a powerful army. Our whole policy is there. Otherwise the Arabs will wipe us out."
Well , as we have it in Mishlei /Proverbs 3:5-6 , “ Trust in the Lord with all your heart and do not rely upon your understanding. Know Him in all your ways, and He will direct your paths. Do not be wise in your own sight; fear the Lord and turn away from evil”
There are several references to “New Jerusalem”...there’s William Blake’s Jerusalem, there’s Jerusalem - Unofficial Anthem of England. Is there any reason why instead of “hymietown”, New York could not be renamed “ New Jerusalem”?. Then the Third Temple could be consecrated and rebuilt there and not cause more tensions about the future of Al-Aqsa Mosque and the rest of the Middle East
Numerically speaking, it would seem that in terms of the number of people who identify as Jewish, the United States is already the second holy land (after Israel) so Ukraine as holy land number 2 could be less probable In the aftermath of the third World War that would have involved all the world’s nuclear powers.
As my friend from Iraq - Ali - ( Sunni Muslim) used to say, some twenty three years ago,
” If George W. Bush loves the Jews so much, he should give them half of Texas…”

"Hundreds of young people dance intensely under a tent roof that forms a huge petal, painted in vivid shades of red and blue. Two impressive dance floors are placed inside and a forest grove is right next to it. In the midst of all the merriment, one of the young people raises his camera and films his friends as they dance. In the distance, a fleet of at least ten motorized paragliders approaches the festival grounds at high speed. Each paraglider carries a driver and a heavily armed terrorist, but the youth at the festival are unaware of the menacing shadow that is fast approaching.”
In the terror researcher and political scientist Magnus Ranstorp's new book "Hamas: terror from within" (Mondial), the first chapter of the book is a detailed description of the attack on October 7, and the massacre carried out at the Nova music festival, on the kibbutzim, on the beach in northwestern Gaza.
During the conversation with Magnus at the book fair, he said that he had to leave out details that were too inhuman and bestial to reproduce. I almost had a hard time believing it, because when reading I had to take several breaks just to get through this first chapter because the descriptions of the violence were so intrusive. The cruelty seems bottomless.
And at the end of the chapter: “Just hours after the news reaches Gaza and the West Bank, the streets are filled with tens of thousands of people. It is not sadness or fear that drives them out of their homes, but something else entirely. It is a raw, intense joy that overflows as the crowds gather to celebrate.”
Unfortunately, we also saw this in Sweden. People who took to the streets, several of them in motorcades decorated with the flag of Palestine, and who cheered triumphantly.
Tomorrow it will be a year. There are still around a hundred people who were taken hostage who have not been released or confirmed dead. But even for Jews and Israelis who are not captive to Hamas, life has changed radically during the year: even for many of them, freedom is curtailed because the hatred against Israel, the Israelis and the Jews has taken such noticeable expressions.
Sweden cannot influence the outcome of the war in Gaza, as journalist David Stavrou stated in his guest post last week. But we can influence what happens on our home turf, and have a responsibility for it. I am writing about this today .

There is no demand that the poet (any poet) has to be “objective”.
And don’t think that you have a monopoly on writing “ poetry”
For a change - not necessarily a change of perspective, but for “ balance”
you could visit the Palestinian Media , so that we do not all get “ unhinged”
You could even start here : https://www.palestinechronicle.com/

Dear See No Evil- Hear No Evil - Speak No Evil -Do No Evil Chidi,
Thank God, the Biafra War is no more.
As your brother-in-poetry put it,
When old age shall this generation waste,
Thou shalt remain, in midst of other woe
Than ours, a friend to man, to whom thou say'st,
"Beauty is truth, truth beauty,—that is all
Ye know on earth, and all ye need to know."
By all means, keep on writing poetry!
Are you a fan of Ze'ev Jabotinsky ?
Perhaps, you much prefer Yossi Beilin ?
A very long time ago just around when Benjamin Netanyahu won the 1996 elections I was trained in pro-Israel advocacy, prior to which, from January 1986 to circa June 1995, I was an occasional traveller and conversant with the world of Islamic, Palestinian and to some extent Iranian, Iraqi and Egyptian affairs. I remember when Hamas was formed, in 1987….
It has been said that “truth is the first casualty of war”
Unfortunately, you are not the origin of the news. Cornelius Ignoramus has no knowledge of your knowledge of information and data management or of your reliable source, or of what could and what could not be fake news, propaganda, and misinformation.
Reminds me of these two anecdote about David Ben Gurion
From page 155 of Ben-Gurion by Robert St. John ( pdf)
“Four men in a jeep blocked the road. Using Sten guns ,they killed Bernadotte and a French U.N. observer sitting in the car beside him.
The four men in khaki escaped ,but the Stern Gang had already publicly taken ”credit” for the assassination, and had sent notes to consulates in the Jewish part of Jerusalem threatening similar action against anyone who “interferes with the interests of Jewish nationalism”
Ben-Gurion did not vacillate. The instructions that went out from G.H.Q. to the military commander in Jerusalem were his:
“ No. 1 : Arrest all Stern members.
“ No. 2 : Find and surround all Stern bases and confiscate all arms.
“ No. 3: Kill all resisters
“ No.4 : Impose a curfew, close borders and all roads leading out of Jerusalem
“ No.5 : Take no action against Irgun unless they help the Sternists
“ No.6 : Act as soon as forces are available
That evening the Cabinet approved the Prime Minister's suggestion to give Irgun until Tuesday noon to disband as a military unit. A twenty-thousand-dollar reward was posted for the capture of Bernadotte’s murderers.
The Stern leader, Nathan Freidman-Yellin, was caught at Haifa port about to flee the country. Hundreds of other Sternists were rounded up. Irgun accepted the ultimatum and disbanded.
From page 215 of Robert St. John’s “Ben-Gurion” about David Ben- Gurion, Israel’s first Prime minister :
“To one Jerusalem reporter who asked for an interview he sent this written reply:
“I do not give interviews to journalists (a) because I am a journalist myself and whatever I say to the public I do so in my own way and (b) the first reason is sufficient”

Chidi,
Bear in mind, The carnage in Gaza, the West Bank, Lebanon
Only in a spirit of true affection and with the aim of giving you maximum publicity do I write this.
Or should “ Mwalimu Cornelius” start referring to you as “ St. Anthony “ ( your namesake )?
I ask because the Saro people are fond of awarding titles: “Chief”, “ Professor” - like “The Professor”, the terrorist bomb-maker in Conrad’s “The Secret Agent “.
Saro people also like awarding powerful degrees.
Yesterday, I visited the Facebook page of Cecil Blake ( an old friend from Sierra Leone) and smiled when I read what he had to say :
“PLEASE DON'T CALL ME "DR." AGAIN!
So many folks being addressed/referred to as "Dr." who did not STUDY for it, that it is becoming absolutely ridiculous and annoying to read about, and even meet these so-called "Drs." so and so: charlatans, opportunists etc., who never graced the halls of medical schools or earned post-graduate (doctoral) degrees from accredited universities. Just to be clear: I earned mine.”
I understand that on this people’s planet, there’s the famous Owerri Motor Park which is one of the favourite haunts of the Poet Chidi Anthony Opara - to the extent that we may call him a habitué of that his occasional / temporary / temporal/ earthly residence, his own cherished piece of Sherwood Forest, his personal, precious Arcadia, the palace of his dreams in this vale of tears, the holy (or not so holy) sepulchre where he sometimes experiences Power and Glory visitations from his Muse - the anchor of his purest thoughts - the Muse who confers on one and all and especially on him - his personal Muse ( the reason why he can say “ MY Muse) - who confers on him the special tongues of fire - like being filled with hope, ambition, joy, despair or disappointment by a special spirit, so that he can declare, as he has indeed declared in this forum, these memorable words : “ We, the poets, We are protesters, We are the mouthpieces Of the Supreme Deity”
I can imagine Chidi, and I imagine that someone else can also imagine, Chidi, leader of the Owerri Motor Park Warriors , locked in mortal combat, in confrontation and in holy or unholy altercation with Bola Ahmed Tinubu ; Chidi as the head of the Owerri Motor Park Confederacy and leader of the delegation, in order to settle their differences, quietly, peacefully and amicably, being granted audience by His Excellency, Nigeria’s Chief of Chiefs Bola Ahmed Tinubu, and Chidi ( Pa Opara) brave man, speaking truth to power and throwing his Staff of Moses down , man to man, putting it to him straight, telling President Tinubu face-to-face : listen up:
We, the poets, We are protesters, We are the mouthpieces Of the Supreme Deity
The Owerri Motor Park about which I cannot say “Somewhere I have never travelled, gladly beyond any experience” - because.1981-1984 I made the journey many times, from the main Danfo Station and Lorry Park at Port Harcourt - to the Owerri Motor Park -sometimes straight to the White House and back to Port Harcourt - or from Owerri Motor Park to Umuahia or Aba , and back ; But because of Chidi, the Park has been elevated and is now assuming mythological dimensions as as poetic headquarters of Chidi, the people’s poet.
Hopefully, having softened you up a little, now to the main point:
Just as Ishmael Reed says he was told (here) , so too, I tell you:
I think that you should stick to writing novels / fiction / poetry; which does not mean that you may not continue to wear the toga virilis of Information and Data Management, or arrogate to your own person the defining characteristics of “any discerning observer of post cold war global politics and diplomacy” when you postulate, “Any discerning observer of post cold war global politics and diplomacy would find out that the super powers look at radical Zionism as the unavoidable lesser evil.” Is that what the Muse told you? You know that I’m not easily impressed. Cornelius Ignoramus would like to know
Assuming that “radical Zionism” as defined by you or “Any discerning observer of post cold war global politics and diplomacy” that you may imagine ( Abba Eban, Ernest Bevin, Sir Anthony Eden, Gamal Abdel Nasser, Fidel Castro, Andrei A. Gromyko, Richard Nixon ,Henry Kissinger, later on the 1994 Nobel Peace Laureates , namely Yasser Arafat, Yitzhak Rabin ) is “the unavoidable lesser evil.” - What do you compare it with as the greater evil ; Settler Colonisation ? That Netanyahu and maybe old Joe Biden & vice president Kamala Harris too, want to Make Israel Great Again, and through “radical Zionism” dream of the kinds of expansion that would define the borders of “Greater Israel “?
Properly speaking, long before the attempted re-creation of the State of Israel in 1948 and for many years after 1948, was there anything like what is now pejoratively being referred to as Radical Islam ? I’m only asking. If your considered answer is NO, then , just as the apologists for radical Islam say that it is the geographical position of the Zionist State at the expense of uprooted Palestinians - the Nakba etc that gave birth to so-called Islamic radicalism. Imagine the African Americans of Nigerian extraction demanding their right to resettle a piece of Anambra as their ancestral homeland and in the process uprooting a million of Peter Obi’s people and putting them all on the unarmed road of flight? Etc, etc. etc.

Correction ( an omission) - re - “ the 1994 Nobel Peace Laureates , namely Yasser Arafat, Yitzhak Rabin “), I forgot to add the usually philosophical Shimon Peres …
Also, once again, dear Chidi please bear in mind what Israel’s first Prime Minister, David Ben-Gurion ( not particularly religious) understood :
Fast forward : https://www.israpundit.org/
Chidi ,
For your attention please : There are many references to Lebanon in the Bible
I’m sure that you are familiar with your poetic brother Khalil Gibran
What’s happening in
before you make
the next pronouncement …
This may be of interest to some of our Pan Africanists 👍
The Lebanese people of Sierra Leone …the first Lebanese arrived in Sierra Leone in 1893 and were known as Syrians, since Lebanon as a separate country was only created in 1920 through the French Mandate.
For example, you may read at ISRAPUNDIT . this article Time for Berri to lead Lebanon’s Shiites away from Iran ; The Berri in question happens to be Nabih Berri - who was actually born in Sierra Leone
I suppose that you could also be possibly interest in this topic : Hezbollah and Sierra Leone
In the late 50s and early 60s of the last century some of the nicest houses in Beirut now being bombed are / were owned by Lebanese diamond miners and diamond merchants in Sierra Leone
Once upon a time Lebanon
was known for its Banking System
worldwide, its Lebanese cuisine and restaurants
It’s Belly Dancing
Any discerning observer of post cold war global politics and diplomacy would find out that the super powers look at radical Zionism as the unavoidable lesser evil.-CAOSo we can now add ventriloquismto your skill set!
I don’t have to hide behind Chinaand Russia to say, unapologetically, that radical Islamism and radicalZionism are both reprehensible.

Subject: USA Africa Dialogue Series - Six observables - you see it and you know it
EXTERNAL EMAIL: This email originated from outside of the organization. Do not click any links or open any attachments unless you trust the sender and know the content is safe.
I expected, but didn't see the seventh "observable", which should have been why China and Russia (two world powers who are not Israel and U.S allies)were/are looking the other way while all these were/are happening.
I still (eagely) await this seventh 'observable".
