Anniversary (Poem)

'Tis our anniversary,
Twenty-seven years
Since we vowed
To become one
In law and in spirit.

Our offspring
Walk with spring.

This wife
Like a good wine
Is getting older and better.

Dear CHIDI,

Best wishes from Nairobi on your wedding anniversary.
A funny Swahili saying goes...Na muishe pamoja miaka mingi hadi muwe vibogoyo, nyama choma na mahindi choma mtuachie sisi.

Loosely translates thus...May you live long enough to be toothless so that you can leave roasted meat and roasted dry corn for us.

Unfortunately we may also be toothless by then. 😂😂😂
