Of Tinubu and the challenge of philosophy

Dear President Bola Tinubu

You were king maker  now you have become king.

Mention has also bèen made of the benefits of having a philosopher- king or a king surrounded by philosophers 

 President Bola tinubu when you went visiting  olub adan in his Palace you quoted a Greek philosopher. Good.that's half the problem solved because you reckon  with at least one philosopher. 

President Bola tinubu you would perhaps have to incorporate  and properly locate the philosophers within the scheme of things as far as your government is concerned.and your leadership.

This is by no.means original to me. I am influenced  by six   thinkers ,namely  professor Joseph  Agbakoba, Professors Jim unah, professor Kingsley moghalu, Dr olugbenga Jaiyesimi  mr lekan sote and Mr dumebi kachikwu 

The quintessential  writer lekan sote, today in the punch ,October 13 2023, wrote on the need for your government for an economic road map.you also need an ethical road map and a moral road map. 

What is the moral for instance  in leaving 20 million children out of school and going instead to fix bridges and roads.there are a lot of moral and ethical questions to address Mr president.

When your minister of solid minerals  affirms we are no longer exporting raw materials.we want to add value.he is espousing a philosophy. same with the Governor of central bank withdrawing from direct intervention of the economy. What is his underlying philosophy? There should be a measure of coherence through al the ministries,departments and agencies.

We do not want to be seen doingv things by instinct,  gut feeling,adhocism or fire fighting.

Let's not move like the osibisa  singing we are going heaven knows  where we are going we know we are. Let's move like kool and the gang singing  we are on a fantastic voyage!
