I hope you had a delightful weekend. I am starting your week with this
piece, "Iche Eme Ka Ugo." I borrowed that title from the chant I once
heard from the lips of the Nne Mmuo (mother spirit) of our village and
which my late father was fond us. Indeed, I dedicate this piece to
him. He was actually the person that buried the chant in my soul as he
performed it in his manual labour.

Nice work Prof. But you are being unfair to Iche. You are observing her in captivity and Ugo in freedom. The house is not the natural abode of Iche. You will find some eagles in zoos too. The differentiation and distiinction is apt, but you have to be fair. You have to place them both either in captivity or in freedom. Mee nwanyi ka emere ibe ya.

Further, you may also check your spelling of "eme." Me thinks that the way you have spelled it means the oposite of your translation. "Eme"here is "does like" but "emeighi" is "does not do like." Or more accurate Iche anaighi eme ka Ugo. Yes? I maybe wrong.

I enjoyed it thoroughly nonetheless.
