Imagine... on a mostly civilian population where 50% of it is CHILDREN!
The Israeli public seeing Hamas fighters in their traditional military attire delivering the first set of hostages from captivity, are disconcerted, because they had prayed, believed and expected that after fifteen months of their IDF's genocidal mission of relentless hammering of the defenceless men women and children of Gaza with bombs and tanks, with starvation, and cruise missiles by Land, Sea and Air, destroying all the hospitals, 80% of residential buildings, mosques, churches, universities, schools, power grids, water supply facilities and all other valuable infrastructure there should be no Hamas fighters left on God’s piece of Occupied Territory.

On circa October 8, I phoned and told my friend Menachem that Hamas doesn’t do that sort of thing, that it’s against Islamic ethics, against Islamic War Ethics , challenged him him to imagine a Hamas warrior with an AK47 in one hand on the awesome operation to take some Israeli hostages, putting down the AK47 to unzip his pants etc but what does Menachem know about Islamic War Ethics anyway and what is he willing to understand with an unbiased mindset ? Perhaps as ridiculous as Gibbons and even earlier, Crusader war propaganda. When they had the power to do so, the Muslims could have slaughtered each and every so-called Jew in the Middle East and elsewhere, every Jewish man, woman and child, under their jurisdiction, but they didn’t! So, Menachem hung up on me - perhaps it was another instance of “who are you going to believe, me or my donkey? Perhaps, I should have told him that that - astaghfirullah, even the weakest Hamas warrior is not like this rabbi ,but then I would have sunk into the moral morass of Krister Stendahl's three rules - rule no 2 : Don't compare your best to their worst.
The hostages that have been released so far, after fifteen months in captivity, are in good shape and have been well taken care of.
Hallel-u-jah : The four female Israeli hostages - military personnel that were abducted have been handed over to Netanyahu's men; they are happy, are still smiling, they have not been tortured, sexually humiliated or raped as happened at Abu Ghraib and according to the many testimonies of Palestinian captives in Israeli prisons
