Chidi,

Do you know why Chukwumah Kaduna Nzeogwu fell out with Odumegwu Ojukwu early in the war?  Nzeogwu and the other seasoned and better trained Igbo army officers told Ojukwu that the only way to win this war was to fight a guerilla war from the onset.

Ojukwu disagreed.  Instead of him listening to wise counsel, he was grandstanding about how he started the war with 12 rifles and how only the Boer army of South Africa can crush him. His spoilt brat megalomanic nature wanted the airs and graces and trappings of office.  He wanted to play the head of state.  Sadly, he dubbed anyone who gave him good advice as a "Sabo-teur" who he either killed or incarcerated.  In the end, he ran away after leading many innocent souls to early graves.

Go and ask those who know the truth.

Cheers.

AN ENGLISH NURSERY RHYME

The law locks up the man or woman

Who steals the goose from off the common

But leaves the greater villain loose

Who steals the common from off the goose

The law demands that we atone

When we take things that we do not own

But leaves the lords and ladies fine

Who take things that are yours and mine

The poor and wretched don’t escape

If they conspire the law to break

This must be so but they endure

Those who conspire to make the law

The law locks up the man or woman

Who steals the goose from off the common

And geese will still a common lack

Till they go and steal it back
