Like many people, I am struck by the common touch, humility. learning, and wisdom of Pope Francis. He was reported to say for example " if someone is gay and he searches for the Lord and has
goodwill, who am I to judge". Very instructive.
If only more people, high and low, great and not so great, powerful or not, will be more aware of their arrogance, false assumptions/learning, and limited knowledge, which cause them to, rush to judgment-
castigate, condemn, exclude, and be intolerant of others, because of their difference.
Pope Francis makes a distinction between crime and sin. He was reported to say "when one sins and confesses, God not only forgives, He forgets" hence redemption. One can only imagine how very
different the world would be if more leaders and followers shared the humility and wisdom of Pope Francis.
