We can never go back in time  so we lost an opportunity  to identify with Brazil on the occasion  her 200th anniversary which would be ending in13 minutes london time.

Maybe that should have been the issue  spearheaded by  Yoruba -BrazilianTunde Bank anthony  because Baba mobolaji bank snthony and lady lande bank anthony grew up there in the Brazilian quarters. So Tunde bank anthony should have been busy there that day.that is part  of his Histoty! That is his own Hostory!!. And my own History too!

The Brazilians  are our friends! Consideting the volume of trade they have done with nigeria  they deserved editorial comments in all the nigerian newspapers on the 200 anniversary! Look below:

Brazil and Nigeria trade relations recorded $280.81 billion in export earnings in 2021.However, Nigeria’s export earnings to Brazil was $47.2 billion in the year under review.

In the area of imports in 2021, Brazil was higher with import earnings of $219.41billion, while Nigeria recorded earnings of $52.1 billion so reported the thisday  newspaper. days to the anniversary.

Engr Bambose Martins made it as commissioner  of physical planning and urban development in lagos. Great. My candidate Lanre Bamkole almost made it because  he has Bam in his name.well we should start thinking of using Bamboo for affordable housing.Bamkole as structural engineer would tell you that atimes Bamboo is preferable  to steel!

Then there is Peter Bamkole of the lagos business school.

It would be interesting  to know why his parents gave him the name Peter because  our Lord  Jesus said to Peter "on this rock you would build my church."and  the name Bamkole  means" build me a house!"

BANK AND Bankole! BANKOLE I presume is a corruption form of Bamkole or Better  put Bamikole. Can reno omokri help?

A good book is Yoruba  names by Modupe Oduyoye
