Kamala vs Trump

Kamala is Afro-Asian. She can 

proudly claim her Indian and African 

heritage. What is wrong with that? She is 

a “woman of color”, as they say, 

anyhow you flip the coin.

Having said  that,  let me also say

that she is probably a neocon and

even a ziocon and in my political 

dictionary that is a negative trait.

Neocons and Ziocons  

believe in American exceptionalism,

and think that they have some

inherent right to rule the world.

Some are still in the Cold War 

era, and deliberately

 so, to instigate wars, beef up

the military-industrial complex,

and then blame the other party.

The main reason why I will vote

for her is because she is not

Trump. Someone said that he will

vote for a ham sandwich right

now just in order to keep 

Trump out😃.I would n’t go

that far.

While in office, Trump deployed 

the world’s largest bomb in Syria;

assassinated Suleiman of Iran;

encouraged a man named Guaido 

to  declare himself the Venezuelan

leader; sent a band of miscreants

to Venezuelan shores; played

the nepotistic game of having his

daughter and son-in-law in the 

White House; hosted foreign

leaders in his private hotel in

violation of ethical rules;

masterminded an insurrection 

at home; and instigated anti-

 Chinese, anti-African and 

racist  pro-Nazi  and pro- 

KKK rhetoric, domestically.

He may probably encourage

negotiations in Ukraine, a point 

in his favor, but he no doubt would

totally annihilate Palestine.

I am not sure of what Kamala

would do but  by preventing 

Palestinian delegates to

speak at the convention they

sent out some negative vibes.

By trying to convince Covid

patients to drink bleach Trump 

displayed his idiocy. BTW, If

anyone thinks that that is the mark

of someone with a high IQ,

they should check their own.

Both democrats and republicans 

are somewhat  distasteful,  but

one is definitely worse than the

other. Relatively speaking

in terms of domestic politics,

democrats are more caring,

less misogynistic, less racist 

and definitely more aware of

the need to offer social safety 

nets. Their foreign policy is

militaristic, belligerent and

callous, however, and  the killing

of unarmed civilians abroad, 

going to a wedding party,  is

for some, just another

day of fun and video games.

Having just watched Kamala Harris' acceptance speech, I agree with Gloria's astute assessment. She stated for the record that she supports an independent sovereign Palestinian state. She also stated the need to stop the mass killing and displacement and starving in Gaza.

She is similar to Obama, so you are right about her stand on America's role in world affairs. But I would say, based on her extensive experience in the courts, she will likely use negotiation and diplomacy on a very skilled level. She is strongest on women's rights and middle class economic protections.

That's my briefest take away from her speech. What is most important to me is she is other-focused and has real government experience. She won't destroy us as a society as Trump has already attempted to do.

I really don't feel comfortable discussing politics, so I won't go further here on this platform. Wanting the best for each of us.

May civility, decency, and compassion guide us.

Surely, there’s nothing wrong with colour per se,  whether African, American, Asian, Palestinian or even Dravidian
