Chidi Opara,
You return to your lazy comparison of apples and oranges! You are one of the gleeful but myopic Igbo who hailed the South Sudan referendum of January 2011 as the way for the Igbo separatists to go. Some of us warned you then but you all pasted glue in your ears and were impervious to reason.
Come December 2013 when the South Sudan experiment ran into serious trouble and civil war broke out, the hitherto gleeful Igbo separatists were as silent as a graveyard at night.
Eritrea, Oromo, South Sudan, Scotland, Basque, Brexit and the lazy Igbo separatists jump on the band wagon without seeing the glaring differences between these and the Igbo question within Nigeria.
When the Igbo elements in the Ebelechukwu Azikiwe Badluck Jonathan government, the Biafra separatists were muted, but no sooner a new government that removes their thieving snouts from the trough, yelling resumes like a banshee. Referenda of this serious type happen after a carefully thought out intellectual and political deployment of resources and never by mindless agitation and irrational vacous analogies!
Cheers.
