J. Olubi Sodipo, the first African Philosopher,  Professor Kwasi Wiredu, Professor H.  Odera Oruka, Professor Peter Bodunrin and Professor Paulin Hountondji were the founding fathers of Contemporary African Philosophy. Now that Paulin Hountondji has joined his peers, we have lost an irreparable great philosopher. Our condolences to his family, relatives, associates and colleagues. May his soul rest peacefully with his ancestors and Creator.
Segun Ogungbemi.
