Sudan Conflict : El-Fasher set to fall to RSF
It’s a Darfur déjà vu, once upon a time, what was the ethnic cleansing of non ethnic-Arabs in Darfur by the Janjaweed Militias, many of whom now constitute what’s known as the the RSF
I’m looking forward to some poetic thoughts, some poetic commentaries and thoughts for today on the matter from the prolific post-Biafra veteran, Anthony Chidi Opara, on the ongoing carnage, the hunger and starvation in Gaza and Sudan, and, hopefully, also on the theme “War is not the answer”
The Civil War in Sudan seems to be either not on the radar or only on the backburner for folks like Brer Opara and the like-minded, as monomaniacally, they continue their sanctimonious twaddle on behalf of the remnants of Mister Netanyahu’s war cabinet.
It’s generally understood that “ charity begins at home” - and - for some of the so called “lost tribes / lost sheep of Nigeria ” , “ home” is ostensibly the Biblical or modern Israel, whereas for the religion and human rights-based opposition, the sympathy is overwhelmingly with the people being constantly oppressed in “the occupied territories” , so called.
It’s also to be understood that sometimes, “ home is where the hatred is.”
For balance in this Pan-African forum here’s the latest worrying news from Sudan that ought to be of some concern to us all:
