Because injustices reign,

I, Chidi,

The son of Opara,

Baptized Anthony by Christianity.

Messenger of Chukwu,

I will not learn

To shut my mouth

Like the son of Okigbo,

Even if I will be sent to hell.

Dear Chidi,

On reading your poem, a few hours after studying this Sabbath's Torah Portion, 

my first thought was, " For Zion's sake I will not be silent"

Followed by "Gamla will not fall again" 

Here's  another thought (not particularly poetic):

And in legal actions Kant says, " If I look at public law and abstract from its matter...

So, stand up for your rights ( don't give up the fight!

On the streets,

Singing

Songs of sorrow.

Let us march

To the mansion

Of the Manor,

Brandishing

Our birth rights.

Let us bury the bully

Or die if we don't.

Is this thought of yours not a dangerous poetic escalation? 

Is this your militant piece of advice to fellow citizens : 

"Let us bury the bully

Or die if we don't."

And who, pray, is "The Bully"?

It's a dangerous poetic escalation

worse than Sowore calling for revolution 

although in your case it looks more like 

a matter of self-preservation...
