The russians and chinese are now playing games over the ceasefire. Any ceasefire woould be good, and conditions be damned. Palestinians are dying every day, especially every day without a ceasefire

What does Amnesty International and Human Rights Watch  say about the inhumane conditions in which Palestinians are shackled in Israeli Prisons ?


Never mind the long drawn-out delay tactics of holding many debates, discussions and debates, since the genocide started, Biden’s trip to Jerusalem, where, maybe for the forgiveness of sins and for protection, he made the sign of the cross in Netanyahu’s oval office, Blinken’s six trips, so far to the Middle East, none of which can be described as Golgotha trips precisely, while the decimation of Palestinian life and the rest of the carnage is permitted to be continued, it’s manifestly clear to the whole world and to the United Nations, that Blinken & Biden are only representing Israel's interests. If there’s any sincerity in the wish to relieve the holocausted civilian Palestinians of their unnecessary suffering, why should a ceasefire depend on the release of Israeli hostages ? What about the several thousand Palestinian hostages that Israel has locked up in Israeli prisons, and the uncountable number of Palestinian hostages  - men. women, and children that have been “disappeared”?

MAY WE, PLEASE, KNOW WHY USA VETOED PREVIOUS RESOLUTIONS FOR CEASEFIRE.

WHY IS USA CALLING FOR CEASEFIRE AT THIS TIME? WHAT HAS CHANGED?

WHAT IS THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN THE PREVIOUS RESOLUTIONS AND THAT OF USA ON CEASEFIRE?

IS USA APPROPRAITING THE CONCEPT OF CEASEFIRE TO DESIGN AN UNO SUPPORT FOR ISRAEL AS IT WAS DONE

IN THE CASES OF IRIQ AND LIBIYA? SOMETHING SEEMS TROUBLING HERE.

Hi kofi, i think that biden and the democrats are being hit hard for supporting israel uncritically, and if you’ve followed biden’s calls for israel to change its attacks, to protect civilians, etc., he is trying to mitigate the damage. The bottom line is the word “ceasefire” which means, to me, stopping thebombing, stopping the killing. I think this resolution fits the pattern of the past two months. 
One can also be critical and say that while calling for these things, biden continues to ship arms to israel that enables them to continue the killing. That is also true. 
But my concern is that now russia and china vetoes it, ostensibly because it was a u.s. sponsored resolution. While they play their political games palestinians are dying at a massive rate. 32,000 and counting. 
That has to stop, which matters more than who is sponsoring any resolutions.
