You are not likely to get an answer from these folks.Nobody wants to face the truth. My friend that taught briefly in Covenant University left the place in annoyance for many reasons.he said,1. They use praise/worship sessions to start academic lectures2. Tithes are deducted from your salary source3. Every lecturer carries a Bible and pretends to be religious.4. There was a lot of toadying going on and everybody wanted to be found in the good books of the proprietor5. The religiosity was choking and yet, the school administrators were the most un-genorous set of people he ever met in his life.6. My former HOD in UI went to start their Mass Comm dept. He fell sick and his wife appealed to them for help. They not only refused for silly reasons that he was not a full staff, they also withdrew his official car when he was in the hospital.7. My friend was on his PhD in Ibadan, third year. They asked him to withdraw and start all over again in their university. Imagine! A university that has not reached ten years is forcing itself to award PhDs. You only need to pay them a visit to know that religion is a facade.8. My friends who did their IT in the place said they have so many rules that you feel you are in a camp. You don't wear short sleeves, no jeans, no mobile phones etc. And their law enforcers are ever so glad to catch you!In fact, the place is not my idea of a university. I withdrew from that church because I got fed up. I am not one for pretending that I am being blessed when all I feel is resentment. I left the church because I didn't want to pretend any longer.Today, I attend a church I feel no strong bonding too and I maintain my rationality and spirituality.I know key deacons in that church who think Bishop Oyedepo is not running that place like a proper university but will never talk. They send their children abroad instead!Other religious universities are not different either. They have rules that even for secondary school students, can impede rationality. So, stop waiting for an answer. You will not get any.
And I can bet my ATM card that they refused to ponder your question either.Happy Sunday.

Ojogbon Payosi Adesanmi:
Your point is not LOST on me
Nonetheless, I am still WAITING PATIENTLY for an ANSWER>>>
My question rephrased:
If all the TEACHERS and PROFESSORS - the good, the bad, and the different, indigenous and foreign - who taught these our Nigerian Born-Again Christians before what they have become professionally today, had come to class armed only with the Bible as their only text-book from where they quoted and repeated only biblical psalms and passages, and organized only wakings, isoji and bible study classes in lieu of homework - but no General Science, Mathematics, Algebra, Geometry, Trigonometry; no History, Literature, Geography, Sociology, Statistics; no Biology, Botany, Zoology; no Architecture, Philosophy, Pharmacy, Town Planning, Agriculture, Physics; no Foreign Languages, no Latin, no Greek or any of these specialized fields of what humanity knows and recognizes as FORMAL EDUCATION...

WHERE and WHAT would all YOU BORN-AGAIN NIGERIAN CHRISTIANS be today?"

I have a QUESTION that has been bothering me for our Nigerian Neo-Evangelists - especially for those who have made it their major preoccupation to post and discuss only Biblical Tracts and passages on these forums, and to teach only Bible Studies at our Nigerian educational institutions - Noyo Edem, Joe Attueyi, Zubbie Ekwueme, Bolaji Aluko, Joe Igietseme, Bobson Arigbe, Leye Ige, Toyin Adepoju, Chukwuemeka Okala, Bayo Afolaranmi, Sunday Fadeyi, and all the others, most of whom I presume are TRAINED PROFESSIONALS in their chosen fields of human endeavor:
What if all the TEACHERS and PROFESSORS (Nigerian and foreign ones) who taught them at the various Nigerian institutions, and the foreign ones that many among them later attended, including the American, Canadian and European missionaries who taught them at the public and parochial schools they all attended in Nigeria, had brought only the Bible as their only text-book, and taught them only BIBLE STUDIES, preparing their SOULS for ETERNAL LIFE with Night Vigils, and church services and praising the Lord - but no General Science, Mathematics, Algebra, Geometry, Trigonometry; no History, Literature, Geography, Sociology, Statistics; no Biology, Botany, Zoology; no Architecture, Philosophy, Pharmacy, Agriculture, Physics or any of these specialized fields of education...
Only BIBLE STUDY and RELIGION!!!
My QUESTION to them:
WHERE and WHAT would all YOU BORN-AGAIN CHRISTIANS be today?
Please think and reflect DEEPLY before RESPONDING!!!
Because this is all the EDUCATION we are offering Nigerians, and especially Nigerian children today - BIBLE STUDY and RELIGION!!!
We are TEACHING them only 'HOW to PRAY' to make miracles happen in their lives, and not how to study and work hard to achieve success!!!
And no PERSONAL ATTACKS please - if you all can help it.
