Hello:
Where would the forum be held and when? I
can help for free. My condition for any public engagement is that I do not
get paid. Okay, I have a bevy of Women Enthusiasts, interns
and male gender (included) to help. All Afro-Optimists believing in the
African Renaissance. Nobody ever saw sustainable development from
exogenous (primarily from external influence)
know-how. The other day someone described a marvelous tree
growing project in Africa. I asked: How long has this teaching of Africans how
to plant trees or dig wells or drive mosquitoes (something was mentioned
like that, too). He said: 35 years with US Aid or other Aid. And the
locals never learnt to do it themselves? I asked.
Let me know but send your response
directly. Nothing serious is discussed via Yahoo Matango/bar
room-like groups. It would sooner be rubbishy polemics, njakiri
banters to outright insults and diversionary antics. You avoid Yahoo
and posts things that do not depend on excitements on space -
here.
For a recent example, on May 14,
an exceedingly successful Public-Private Partnership Continental
African Forum on Health and Wealth, which I conceptualized and organized (www.caslight.org), proved so. From the County Executive to federal
brasses, every single official and elected power that was invited honored
the invitation. The Latinos stars came; media reps came;
directors of agencies did; the Office of Minority Health,
etc. The outcomes are already rolling with much work to be done
and timely so - by converting opportunity into collateral for community
development.
Dr.
Theresa Wansi (Women Economic Empowerment) and
Dr. Samuel Dongmo "aka Dr. Musica (Training and
Employment of Foreign (African) professionals in the US Workforce) at
the Continental African Health and Wealth Agenda on May 14, 2013
The attendance met the expectation.
It was also capacity building for leadership to emerge and
implement the operational goals. Of the 75 groups and specifically
identified leaders invited, by 7:15pm, 62 had arrived for the 7:30
start time. Others came later and only one - Tanzania - could not
make it.
Yes, there are SERIOUS
AFRICANS.

A friend has been asked to coordinat a colloguium on "Women, Peace
and
Development" and need a program conductor to organize for
that
colloquium that will be global (world) in scale but allowing
maximum
participation of Africans, and will avoid subverting the agenda
around
issues specific to industrialized countries. The colloquium
is
intended to involve grassroots leaders, workers, farmers and of
course
entrepreneurs and Business Executives.
What are the issues to be
handled that will stand as a rupture from
the past and that will at the
same time appear promising
What according to you will be the
deliverables of such a meeting and
how will the
conclusions of the
meeting made available top decision makers and
multi stakers so that they
guide them strategically with regard to
outcomes and the golden eggs
thereof.
Many thanks for your indulgence
