The 2021 Nobel Prize for Literature has been awarded to the Tanzanian novelist Abdulrazak Gurnah. It took everyone, including him, by surprise, and he too must be saying

“Alhamdulillah !”

The postcolonial Literature specialists will be paying him a little more attention.
