Our experts and many Western-educated Africans would likely be horrified!

Several years ago on this forum when responding to a posting about, I think, some scientists in Russia discovering or encouraging the use of phages (bacterial fighting other bacteria) mentioning that some of our traditional medicine men knew about this long ago. I gave the example of a great uncle of mine, now long late, who made the most potent anti-diarrhea concoction using, among other herbal and non-herbal ingredients, select types of dried human feces!!!  [As a kid aged about 6 or 7 when I was on a visit to him at Obada market settlement (now defunct), I followed him to the "bush" on one occasion and observed him pass by several dried feces remains until he found the right one!] The post read so horridly, even to me, that I was happy the post was quickly swamped over by newer posts, as I felt that people might have been horrified and would feel that I had only managed to ridicule indigenous African medical knowledge that I thought I was highlighting.
