What if these contemporary political shenanigans in American democracy were to be happening in the Global South, what will the "mother and father of "democracy" say? The Russian Federation, China and other authoritarian leaders must be having a ball watching these political dramas and the collapsel of democracy..

Regrettably, these developments leave most students of democracy scratching their head and wondering what happened to America, erstwhile the beacon of democracy!
