Lorji, Aboh Mbaise LGA; July 6, 2019:           On Saturday, July 6, 2019, the traditional ruler of Lorji Nwekeukwu Autonomous Community in Aboh Mbaise LGA of Imo State, Nigeria, HRH Eze Nwambueze Ugorji (Orji Ukwu 1) and members of his cabinet, performed a long-awaited groundbreaking for the construction of a community center. Named the Odoziobodo Community Center at Lorji, the project is being built within the Nsibidi Estate at Lorji.

When finished, the center will serve as an event venue for community and private gatherings, a resource center for men and women, a skills acquisition joint for the youth, and a recreational place for indoor/outdoor sports. It is the first of a series of community centers that the non-profit group known as Organizing For Opportunities (OFO) plans to build in communities on the African continent.

Donations to OFO in foreign currencies to support this project and/or in support of other projects that are outlined on the group’s website, can be made on the website (www.OfoFoundation.com). Donations in Naira can be made by way of transfers or deposits at the Ofo Educational Foundation’s Zenith Bank Account Number 1015975509.

A plaque with the names of those who support the project will be placed at the center the day it is commissioned. Completion of the 46 million Naira project is targeted for December 2021.
