By “Swede”, President Biden probably means “ethnic Swede” which in fact has nothing to do with race biologist Herman Lundborg or Mister Hitler’s theory of Aryan Supremacy which was badly bruised by Jesse Owens at the  Berlin Olympics in 1936…

Now if dear Jimmie Åkesson, the eloquent leader of the Sweden Democrats had said what Joe Biden said, “Well, they aren't Swedes that are burning the Quran. They are migrants who are burning the Quran”, then some of the local Liberals, Social Democrats, and Green Party people, not to mention the Left Party would have been foaming at the mouth that our dear Jimmie is a “racist”

Of course, if the immigrant or immigrants in question had been black or white and of US American stock then the truth-speaking President Biden would have put it straight to President Erdogan,” Sorry Bro, that it’s American miscreants that are burning the Quran”

Perhaps Baba Kadiri would like to comment on what Joe Biden the President of an Immigrant nation said about what's going on in Sweden, Quran burning with impunity, Quran burning with police protection financed by the taxpayers' money….

President Erdogan the strategist has upped his game, he now says to Sweden, “"First, come and open the way for Turkiye  into  the European Union and then we will open the way for Sweden, just as we did for Finland.”

The fact is that Turkiye  (the country with the greatest land army in Europe) is being kept out of the EU because of Turkiye’s Muslim identity. From now on it should be interesting to see how Der Spiegel will be reporting about this matter…

Thank you, Cornelius, for asking me to comment on the statements attributed to the President of the United States, Joe Biden, concerning the ignition of the Holy Qur'an in Sweden which is as follows,  "Well, they aren't Swedes that are burning the Quran. They are migrants who are burning the Quran." May I begin by informing President Joe Biding that there are many behaviours in Sweden, and Europe in general, that had its origin in the United States of America. When Columbus returned to Europe in the 1500s, he brought with him potatoes which subsequently became staple food in Europe. In Sweden it was one Jonas Alstrom who first planted potatoes massively in 1724 and taught the Swedes how to quench hunger by eating potatoes.

Just as the eating of hamburger and potatoes in its various forms in Sweden originated from the US, the origin of burning of the Holy Quran in Sweden is also from the US. It is on record that the American Pastor, Terry Jones, was a pioneer who first came up with the idea of burning Quran to commemorate the September 11 incident in 2010, which he called, "International Burn a Quran Day." The American authorities exerted pressure on Pastor Terry Jones who called off Qur'an burning. However, on March 20, 2011, Pastor Terry Jones held what he called a "trial of the Qur'an" in his Gainesville Church. Finding the Qur'an guilty of "crimes against humanity," the Quran was burnt in the Church Sanctuary. His action sparked off UN massacre in April 2011 in Afghanistan. On his way to burn 3,000 copies of Qur'an on 12 September 2013, he was arrested by the FBI.

Rasmus Paludan was born on 2 January 1982 in North Zealand, Denmark but he has dual citizenship of Sweden and Denmark. Contrary to Joe Biden's insinuation, he is not an immigrant in Sweden. Yet, on Friday, August 28, 2020, he crossed the border from Denmark to Sweden where he committed arson on the Qur'an near a Mosque at a place called Rosengård and where majority of the residents are Muslims. During the Easter weekend of 2022, Rasmus Paludan undertook the tour of Sweden to publicly incinerate the Holy Qur'an in specific area of abode of adherents of Islamic religion. On Good Friday, 15 April 2022, Rasmus Paludan, under Police protection was at Rinkeby, a suburb in greater Stockholm, and Örebro to burn Qur'an specifically where Muslims live. On Saturday, 16 April 2022, Rasmus was in Malmo to burn Qur'an at the residential area of adherents of Islam, then on Easter Sunday, 17 April 2022, he was in Norrköping and Linköping to burn Qur'an and the residents defended their Islamic faith as guaranteed by the Swedish Constitution under freedom of religion. By Monday, 18 April 2022, Police Authorities said that 26 Police Officers and 14 members of the public had been injured while 20 vehicles had been damaged or destroyed. On 21 January 2023, Rasmus Paludan was protected by the Police to incinerate a copy of Qur'an within the perimeters of the Turkish Embassy in Stockholm, Sweden.

The latest desecration and incineration of the Muslim Holy Book, the Qur'an, was said to have been perpetrated, by an Iraqi refugee in Sweden, within the vicinity of a Mosque during the Muslim's Eid al-Adha celebration. The single incident of Qur'an burning involving an Iraqi refugee has been pluralised by Joe Biden as "They are migrants who are burning Quran," in Sweden. If I were to be undiplomatic, I would say that President Joe Biden has been fooled by his informants. Out of the eight occasions of public incineration of the Holy Qur'an that had occurred in Sweden between 2020 and 2023, only one, Wednesday, 28 June 2023, has been attributed to a Christian refugee from Iraq. It has been suggested in certain quarters that the burnings of Qur'ans in Sweden were being perpetrated by those who are against Sweden joining the NATO military alliance. That cannot be true since public desecration and incineration of the Holy Qur'an in Sweden, 28 August 2020, and 15-16-17- April 2022, preceded the application of Sweden to join NATO in May 2022. A simpleton would say that if someone wants to spend his money to buy and burn any book, let him/her do it. But the choice of place may constitute an act of terrorism. Desecration and incineration of the Muslim Holy Book, the Qur'an, at specific areas where adherents of Islamic religion live in Sweden and in the vicinity of a Muslim country's embassy in Sweden should be regarded as an act of terror. That was why Pastor Terry Jones was prevented from committing that Act of Terrorism against Muslims publicly in the US in 2010 onwards. And when it became known that he incinerated a copy of the Qur'an inside his Church in the US, there were protests in the Muslim world against terrorism on Islamic believers.

I guess that Oluwatoyin would like to endorse Kuwait’s response to the latest Quran burning in Sweden

There have been mass demonstrations in Sweden and in the rest of the outraged Muslim world,  against the burning of the Holy Quran, but on the whole, Muslims don't have that much access to media space In Sweden and have not been given much media space to represent their views in the main media channels.

Complementary to Baba Kadiri's posting, here's a religiously coated Muslim response from way back in April last year, before other Quran burnings culminated in burning a copy of the Quran right outside Turkiye's Embassy in Stockholm and in the latest atrocity with the Iraqi refugee under full police protection first desecrating the Holy Quran by wiping his dirty feet with its pages as the crowd of Muslims looked on and then inserting a piece of bacon  in the book and finally setting fire to the Holy Quran on Eid ul Adha, outside the main mosque in Stockholm :

Glory be to God, it’s my birthday today! 

Hallelujah and Alhamdulillah too that Cornel West would not be the kind of US President who would scapegoat immigrants as the ones burning Holy Qurans over here in Sweden.

If it’s true that Joe Biden is worried about Cornel West and it’s not just media babble, let us pray that Baba Cornel West will steal more than a chunk of the Black vote from Brother Obama’s Uncle Joe who in my view is not very different from Bill Clinton as described by Ishmael Reed in “ Flog Uppity Black” and in this case, we are to assume that it’s Cornel West that is the Mr. Uppity, as “Sleepy Joe” shuffles on in his ambitious bid for re-election…

That “the Pittsburgh synagogue shooter deserves the death penalty” should be no different from the penalty due the kuffars malicious desecration of the Holy Quran. 

The wilful desecration of the Holy Quran is more than a mere act of aggression. Such heinous criminal acts should be duly tried, if necessary in absentia in Islamic courts of law and those found guilty duly sentenced to death for terrorism against Muslims and crimes against humanity. 

If we were living in a world in which Muslims had real power, such Quran burning would never have happened in Sweden, and if such an act were to be perpetrated by the foolhardy who are clearly not cowards, we are to suppose that the death fatwa would be passed on the enablers who condone such a desecration.

Professor Jan Hjarpe (a Swedish Professor of Islamology) would often begin his lecture by reminding his mostly Swedish audience that up to the end of the First World War, Sweden used to pay a special tax to Turkiye, the seat of the Ottoman Authority, to ensure Swedish ships safe passage on the high seas…

I’m wondering about the status of a Muslim policeman who in good conscience refuses to act as bodyguard or protector of the criminal who has obtained legal permission to burn a copy of the Holy Quran outside Turkiye’s Embassy or outside the main mosque in Stockholm. Will such a policeman be charged with insubordination or dereliction of duty? 

What a world it would be if Quran-burning in Stockholm were to be followed by Quran- burning in Washington DC ( by immigrants) and Jerusalem (by immigrants)!

Let us look for consolation in  “ A mercy to the worlds”
