The Washington Post article for a gospel truth. That is never so, as it was a piece sent to me by a colleague, who was also puzzled by it. In fact, as a Researcher in Burkina Faso area, she knew that Sankara was a Marist but, after his death, she never
knew that anybody was particularly interested in Russia or Marxism.
Also, I thought that since you were already in the country, you would be able to find out what was going on ideologically; for example, since the new military leaders did not halt Comporae's trial, I wondered if they were faithful followers of Sankara, etc.,
hence probably the resurgence in socialism or Marxist ideology. Anyway, it is very good to know your wonderful side of the issue. What about Chinese presence, compared to what we have in Ghana, where we understand that they are involved in illegal gold mining,
etc.?
