Dear colleagues,

I write to share news about an upcoming talk next week that might be of interest to members. Professor Judith Byfield will be presenting her new research project, "Curry Goat and Gari: West Indian Women in 20th Century Lagosian Society," at Africa at Noon on Wednesday, October 14 at 12:00 pm Central Standard Time. This is a virtual event, open to all. The African Studies Program at the University of Wisconsin-Madison is sponsoring the event; I will be the host for the event.
