SO Egbon Aliko Dangote spent 25 billion dollars to build an oil refiner. in short Egbon Aliko Dangote imported about 25 billion dollars worth of steel pipes!
whereas the 14 minerals needed to make steel are there in nigeria!
would it not have been better to set up a steel complex then produce steel pipes locally? Who are Egbon Alikos best friends? now the world is saying goodbye to oil refinery because of the climate crisis. other projects by Dangote that have deleterious effects on climate and the environment include fertilizer production .inorganic fertilizer and cement.
