Ridiculous - but it could
have been worse.

My prayer is that this matter be handled delicately. It is a very sensitive matter. Let's not delude ourselves.

We have a country without Ambassadors/High Commissioners for more than 2 years. The regime's Public Relations officer (PRO) has played his role as both PRO and Ambassador.  In my view, he has not done very well in his style of tackling this issue and other issues. This is a job that should, in the absence of Ambassadors, be handled by a trained Foreign Minister.

For example,,
1. The PLO's communication with Nigerians on the visa issue in the United Arab Emirate.
2. The national confusion following the presidential state visit to Japan.
3. Etc.

In short, Nigeria needs Ambassadors/High Commissioners tout de suite!
