Its official:  Black musicians dominate the earnings league in both male and female categories.

Georgian home boy Kanye West tops the male and rapper league with an estimated fortune of 3 billion American cowries.

He rose head and shoulders above the erstwhile competition ( closest rivals) JZ, Dr Dre and P Diddy who trailed with 1 billion, 800 million and 800 million respectively.

In the female category Queen Rihanna put  veteran legends like Diana Ross, Barbra Streisand, Madonna and current rrival Queen Bey ( Beyoncé) in the shade with a kool 600 million American greenbacks.

Recall that West and Rihanna went into entrepreneurial activities. Shoes and cosmetics turned out to be lucrative for them.  Those who went into record production also scored.

Diddy was a pioneer in that arena.
