Poetic Thought

[Chidi Anthony Opara, FIIM, CDOA]

Our nemesis relocated

To the alluring confine

Of a foreign city

To reconcile differences

And continue

 To plunder the common wealth.

The homeland 

They left desolute,

Yet the roused rabble 

Applaud,

They shout 

"Behold our messiahs!".

With garlands

And empty stomachs

They await the return

Of their messiahs.
